A fishing game for gamers who just want to fish.

No crops to water. No mines to crawl. No monsters to fight. No town to manage. No energy meter telling you when to stop. Just you, your boat, a tackle box full of lures, and a lake full of fish that are really out there, moving with the light, the weather and the wind.

The water is calm. The fight is not. A 15 lb bass will test everything you have learned, and landing one is a moment you will remember.

What's on the water:

Three lakes - the hand-painted Beaver's Pond, plus Lake Okeechobee and the Santee Cooper Lakes, inspired by the real waters

Fish that are really there - every trip fills the lake with hidden fish. Where they hold depends on cover, the time of day, the weather and your lure. Spook one with a sloppy cast and it is gone.

Nine lure kinds - spinnerbaits, crankbaits, lipless crankbaits, skirted jigs, bladed jigs, craws, frogs, poppers and swimbaits, in four weights and a range of colours

A fight with teeth - chase the drifting ring, land perfect clicks, and keep your hook together through every jump

135 masteries - 15 for each lure kind, across three tiers, that change how you fish and how you fight

Fishing Styles - fish as an Artist, a Slugger or a Whisperer. Grow your Power, Reflexes and Intuition, and learn your style's knacks along the way.

Six species and named legends - largemouth and smallmouth bass, striped bass, crappie, bluegill and channel catfish, plus legendary fish with names of their own

The Outfitter - earn better rods, reels, line and hooks with your Bassy Bank

Weather and light - clear skies, overcast, gentle showers and rain, from dawn to dusk

Three difficulties - Casual, Normal and Realism, each with its own records

Trolling - set waypoints and let the boat pull your lure
