Why Early Access?

“While we are happy with the overall game itself and feel it could stand on its own as a 1.0 launch, there are some areas where we feel like can benefit from added depth. While we do have a general roadmap and a list of ideas for how to best achieve this, we decided a cozy, casual game like this would be best if developed alongside the community with meaningful feedback from the players.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are planning to remain in Early Access for a few months as we work to add more content to the game with the help of community feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We are hoping to use Early Access to get a better idea of what type of depth the players are looking for. Possible candidates include more biomes, some sort of prestige or endgame system, or more interaction between players such as trading or mini games but as mentioned previously we would want to do this alongside the community so nothing is finalized as of yet.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is fully playable and stable. The complete idle loop is in with a collection journal, a variety of fish with grade and rarity systems. We have several cosmetic options as well. Multiplayer is working for up to 4 players in a single lobby. For most players, we expect the current content to take a few months to complete. We plan to keep adding content throughout early access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We are not currently planning on updating the price post EA. ”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We aim to use Discord, Steam reviews, and Community discussions to gauge what the players are looking for: what players like, don't like, and would love to see added. All feedback is great!”

Pier Pals is a cozy idle fishing game that lives quietly on your desktop.

Cast your line, watch the clouds drift by, and let the fish come to you. No clicking, no pressure — just chill vibes while you work or play.

Fish with friends. Invite your friends to your dock or join a random. Up to 4 players can fish together, chat, and show off your loot!
