Coming Soon To Early Access

The developers of this game intend to release as a work in progress, developing with the feedback of players.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“As a solo developer, I know that developing behind closed doors doesn't work. The game introduces unprecedented mechanics with its unique "Eight Trigrams" grid system, which means it requires a massive amount of actual combat data and feedback to polish. I strongly believe in developing alongside the community. Early Access allows me to connect with players who love strategy and cultivation auto-battlers early on. With your help, I can optimize game balance, improve the overall experience, and adjust future development directions based on your voices. I want to work together with you to make this a truly fun and highly replayable game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our current plan is to keep the game in Early Access for about 1 year. However, this timeframe is not set in stone. The exact release date of the full version will depend on the amount of player feedback we collect during this period, and the time needed to perfectly integrate those valuable suggestions into the game, ensuring the final quality meets or even exceeds your expectations.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to offer a richer and deeper cultivation experience. We plan to:

Implement the complete "Inner Earth Cultivation World" lore and story tutorials;

Release all five major Sects with distinct playstyles, greatly expanding the strategic depth of cross-sect combinations;

Introduce new game modes to enhance long-term replayability and challenges;

Complete the achievement system and add more types of artifacts, cultivation methods, and rare materials.
Of course, as development progresses and community feedback is incorporated, the final full version might be even more content-rich than currently planned.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version already features the core gameplay loop. Players can fully experience the unique "Four Symbols - Eight Trigrams - Outer Ring" grid-building system, engage in asynchronous auto-battles using the initially available Sect characters, artifacts, and materials, and discover the amazing synergies from different item combinations.

However, like all Early Access games, it is not perfect yet. Being developed by a solo indie developer, there will inevitably be some unbalanced item stats and undiscovered bugs. This is exactly why I need you to join the Early Access! Please bear with me and actively provide your feedback. I will maintain a high frequency of updates to fix and optimize them.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The Early Access version will be priced lower than the official release as a token of gratitude to players who trust and support me in the early stages of development. As the game grows step-by-step during Early Access, we will continuously add new Sects, a massive amount of artifact mechanics, more game modes, and other rich content. Therefore, when I believe the game is fully polished and officially launch the 1.0 version, the final price will be moderately increased to reflect the expanded content.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is the core driving force behind my continuous improvement of this game! As a solo developer, I have no bureaucratic layers; I will directly and closely monitor the Steam Community Hub and our official Discord server.

Whether it's complaints about artifact synergy balance, bugs you accidentally triggered, or wild ideas for new cultivation builds, I will carefully record and evaluate them all. I will make frequent additions and adjustments to the game content based on your actual experiences. At the same time, I will regularly publish devlogs to update fellow cultivators on the latest development progress, ensuring that every piece of your valuable advice truly resonates within this Inner Earth Cultivation World.”

About This Game

Choose When to Unleash Your Domain During Auto-Combat

All Night Ascension is a cultivation-themed backpack auto-battler built around a three-layer Bagua board. Collect cultivation methods, artifacts, and materials as you explore, then arrange them into an automated combat loop.

After reaching the Divinity realm and claiming a Domain, specific actions from your build begin charging it. The Domain waits for your command once it is ready. Each side can unleash one Domain per battle.

Opening first strengthens your combat loop and applies a suppression rule while your rival has no active Domain. Holding it lets you wait for an enemy power spike and disrupt their sequence with a rule change.

If your rival answers with a Domain, the battle enters a Domain clash. Both sides keep the rules that benefit their own board, while suppression effects against the opposing side cancel out. You must choose between securing an early advantage and keeping an answer for the enemy’s decisive move.

Domains can alter the flow of time, cap incoming damage, detonate Thunder, rewrite ammunition consumption, repair destroyed artifacts, or prevent defeat for a short period.

Build on a Three-Layer Bagua Board

The traditional square backpack is replaced by a circular Bagua board with 4, 8, and 24 slots across three rings.

• Inner Ring: 4 Cultivation Method Slots
Cultivation methods define the direction of your build. They change artifact triggers, elemental tendencies, and the pace of combat.

• Middle Ring: 8 Artifact Slots
Flying swords, spirit pets, cannons, puppets, and defensive relics cast during combat and form the main engine of your board.

• Outer Ring: 24 Material Slots
Ores, herbs, spiritual materials, and mechanical parts enhance artifacts, add new properties, or change how their effects trigger.

Adjacency, opposing positions, Bagua sectors, and cross-ring relationships all affect your build. Moving one artifact or replacing a connected method or material can change the entire combat loop.

Slots and Qi capacity limit what you can equip. You must divide your resources between core artifacts, support pieces, and future upgrades. You may also accept Qi overload, sacrificing maximum health to fit a more aggressive setup onto the board.

Create Automated Combat Loops

Artifacts cast according to their cooldowns and trigger conditions. Cultivation methods, materials, and board positions can reduce cooldowns, add extra casts, increase critical chance, or provide shields and other bonuses.

One artifact can trigger the next. Flying swords can chain attacks through Haste. Thunder can build toward repeated detonations. Cannons consume ammunition, while puppets trigger effects through destruction and repair.

You will keep adjusting the board as you move through events and shops. Keep an artifact that supports your current engine, sell a material you no longer need, strengthen your core, or pivot into another build before the next duel.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

The art and music assets in this game were created with the assistance of generative AI technology.

As a registered architect in my day job, I am used to using tools like CAD to aid my designs. In game development, AI plays the exact same role—it is a tool, but the soul of the design comes from the human creator. I do not allow any rough, unpolished assets into my game. Therefore, all AI-generated content has gone through my strict "manual inspection": rigorous prompt tuning, meticulous manual overpainting, and audio trimming. I carefully polish every visual and auditory "brick" to build the perfect cultivation world, pouring my true craftsmanship entirely into the core "Eight Trigrams Array" deck-building experience.
