About This Game

HYPE is a first-person co-op horror game where you and up to 3 friends are running a highschool occult club. By day, school life goes on as normal. By night, your club is the only thing standing between your school and the yokai that haunts it.

School life comes first. Wander the halls between classes and chat with your classmates. Everyone has heard something about what's haunting the school, and every rumor tells you a little more about what you're up against tonight. Then meet up in the clubroom and spend your coins on whatever the night will need: new Tape Guns, snacks to patch each other up, and yokai apps for your phone.

After dark, the school isn't the one you left. Sneak back in with your flashlights and your friends, and map its halls floor by floor as you go. Keep it quiet, because every sound carries and you're not alone in there. Yokai roam the classrooms, and somewhere inside, the cursed object is waiting to be found.

One player starts the Tape Seal and traces it piece by piece, and the moment the yokai senses it, it comes straight for them. Everyone else keeps it busy with their Tape Guns, buying the sealer every second they need. It takes the whole club to finish the seal and banish the yokai for good.
