Why Early Access?

“Nights of the Sleeping God is a deeply simulated roguelike built on real-world systems, that only reveal their full potential when real players start breaking them in unexpected ways. We want the community to shape where those systems go next.
Inspired by projects like Dwarf Fortress, we see this game as a long-term, evolving project. Early Access lets us grow it together with players who love emergent gameplay and aren't afraid of rough edges.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We don't have a fixed release date. The game is designed as a long-term simulation project, and we plan to continue developing the game, its experience, and simulations. You can expect roughly a year and a half (mid 2027).”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand every system over time - deeper chemistry, a richer magic language, expanded modding tools, deeper fights, new tile sets. We avoid promising specific features, because this is a systems-driven game and we adapt our roadmap based on how the community shapes it”

Descend into a classic roguelike where nothing is scripted - chemistry, physics, and anatomy are simulated.

Forge weapons from flesh and bone, cast magic you must learn yourself, eat your enemies, die and try again - all on your way to godhood. The paid cost will never be enough! 100 floors of madness, blood, grievance and monsters, that await you.

  • Highly Moddable: Everything can be changed as you see it fit - from AI behaviors to chemistry elements. 

  • Fully Simulated: Combat unfolds through physics, gases spread through the air, armor dents and weapons shatter, a well-placed blow can stop a heart cold - or start again. 

  • Bring your own gameplay: Create your weapon from bones and gold, cast magic that will stop hearts (even yours), or destroy everything with chemistry - there's no intended way to play! 

  • Persistence: The dungeon does not reset when you die. Your corpses, spilled blood, and slain enemies will stay. And they will never leave.
