What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early Access lets you play while I work on the remaining planned features. Your feedback will help me improve what's here and shape what comes next.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I'm hoping to leave Early Access within a year, but the timeline may change depending on how development goes.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full version, I plan to add more products, shelves and decorations, and expand store management with invoices, loans, more detailed sales reports, and a store reputation and customer complaint system.

I also aim to refine store and player upgrades, expand difficulty and host settings, and improve customer and thief behaviour. Further work includes completing equipment such as forklifts, trolleys and pallet jacks, improving gamepad support, and general polish and quality-of-life improvements.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“You can stock shelves, set prices, serve customers, hire and train employees, and expand your store, either solo or in online co-op. You can also react to in-game news and supplier offers, handle online orders, and deal with shoplifters using the security station and taser.

Forklifts and other handling equipment still need more work. Some systems are experimental or rough around the edges.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to keep the price unchanged throughout Early Access. I’m considering a small increase at full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I’ll use feedback from Steam discussions and the in-game feedback tool to help prioritize improvements, adjust the game’s balance, and decide which mechanics to expand or rethink. Suggestions and criticism are both welcome, though I can’t promise every idea will make it into the game.”

About This Game

Supermarketeer is a first-person supermarket sim you can play solo or in online co-op with friends. Stock shelves, set prices and serve customers as you build your store and develop the team that helps run it.

Hire and develop your team

Employees bring different strengths to the job. Compare their stats, choose who to hire and assign work that suits them. Train your staff to improve at their tasks as you grow your supermarket.

Bring more services under one roof

Bake fresh goods, handle parcels at the postal counter and offer bottle returns. Add new services to your supermarket, with hands-on activities throughout the working day.

Keep an eye on trouble

Use your security station to keep track of wanted shoplifters, then take your taser onto the shop floor. There is more to a successful shift than keeping the shelves full.

Build your store your way

Arrange shelves and service stations, customize your store's appearance and choose where to expand. Turn a small shop into a supermarket laid out around the way you want to work.

Keep the orders moving

Pick products, pack online orders and get them ready on time while customers shop in store. Share the work with friends as different jobs compete for your attention.

React to the day's news

Follow in-game news that affects demand and stock costs. Watch supplier offers, decide when to stock up and adjust your plans as opportunities arise.
