Why Early Access?

“Carland: Drifter is being released in Early Access so we can develop the game together with player feedback. The core arcade drifting gameplay, stylized car control, customization direction, and online drifting experience are already playable, but we want to improve the game’s balance, handling, content, progression, and overall polish with help from the community.

Early Access will allow us to understand what players enjoy most, which cars and tracks feel the best, and what improvements are most important before the full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Carland: Drifter to stay in Early Access for around 3 to 6 months. This may change depending on player feedback, development progress, and the amount of additional content and polish needed before the full release.

Our goal is to leave Early Access when the game feels stable, polished, and content-rich enough for a full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to expand Carland: Drifter beyond the core drifting experience with more content, more variety, and more competitive multiplayer features.

We plan to add more cars, more customization options, additional tracks, improved progression, refined drifting physics, better online features, and more polished UI and visuals. We are also interested in adding new game modes where players can compete in more playful ways, including modes with special abilities, power-ups, and interactive mechanics that allow players to challenge each other during races or drift events.

The Early Access version focuses on the main arcade drifting gameplay, car handling, customization direction, and online drifting foundation. During Early Access, we plan to improve and expand the game based on player feedback before reaching the full release.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version includes the core arcade drifting gameplay, stylized toy-like cars, basic vehicle customization, playable drift areas/tracks, scoring and reward systems, and online play features.

Players can drive, drift, earn rewards, try different cars and styles, and experience the main gameplay direction of Carland: Drifter. Some features, content, balancing, UI elements, and online systems may still change or improve during Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price may increase after Early Access as more content, features, polish, and improvements are added to the game. We want the Early Access price to reflect the current amount of content while rewarding early supporters.

Any major pricing changes will be communicated clearly before they happen.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve the community by listening to player feedback through Steam discussions, reviews, bug reports, and community posts. Feedback about drifting physics, car handling, customization, online play, UI, performance, and content will help guide development priorities.

We also plan to share updates, patch notes, and development progress with the community during Early Access.”
