What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The main reason it is in Early Access is that I am developing this game on my own, and I aim to bring it to its full potential by using player feedback. Early Access will help me understand what works and what doesn’t.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“It’s difficult to give an exact timeframe because I have many ideas for different game modes, and I also want to take player feedback into account and integrate it into the game. That’s why I would estimate roughly one to one and a half years.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Currently, there is approximately one main game mode and a total of four game modes available, but by the time the full version is released, I plan to have more than 15 game modes. In addition, I’m considering adding systems like item drops and a marketplace. This way, players who win games will be able to earn rare items and potentially generate some income from them. This will also make matches more competitive.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“At the moment, the game is playable at its core and includes four game modes. You can customize your characters’ faces with designs you like to make them more fun. I can also say that the multiplayer lobby system is in an enjoyable state.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I can definitely say that the game’s pricing will change significantly. The main reasons for this are implementing player-requested features, making the game more fun, adding new game modes, and introducing a trading system to create a new ecosystem within the game. Therefore, I plan to increase the price in the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Improving the game through feedback received on various social media platforms is very important to me. I will read all feedback and take the necessary actions. What makes a game truly good is not the developer, but the players.”

About This Game

TRUST ISSUES? is a social deduction and strategy game where everyone at the table eyes each other with suspicion, and trade is blended with betrayal. Only the owner knows what’s inside the bag… or do they?

Gather your friends, make deals, join auctions, and in the end, see whose pockets are full—and whose hearts are broken.

  • Draw Your Own Face: You don’t just choose your character’s outfit—you decide their emotions too! Use the built-in drawing tool to create the sneakiest or most innocent face and catch your opponents off guard.

  • Real-Time Trading: Negotiate items and gold with other players. Be an honest merchant—or a professional con artist.

  • Auction Chaos: Compete with everyone at the table for rare and valuable items. But be careful—spending all your money on a single item could leave you vulnerable.

  • Dilemma Panels: The game will confront you with tough choices. Will you prioritize your own survival, or the common good?

  • Lobby Integration: Easily invite your friends, set up your lobby, and dive straight into betrayal!

  • Voice Chat: Talk with your friends in-game and experience memorable moments across different game modes.

  • TradeZone: The main arena! This is the core game mode where players fiercely compete to survive and collect the most money, with every moment presenting a new “dilemma.”

How to Play: The core of this mode revolves around trading. You exchange items, but you don’t know the true value of your opponent’s item. You can talk to the other player and say you trust each other—or deceive, scam, bluff, or play honestly. It’s entirely up to the player’s strategy and experience.

What Happens in This Mode?

If both players try to scam each other, both lose their items during the trade.

If both players choose not to trust each other, both lose their items during the trade.

If one player trusts and the other does not, the player who does not trust loses only their own item.

If one player trusts and the other scams, the scammer steals the trusting player’s item.

If one player does not trust and the other tries to scam, the scammer loses their item.

  • Category Bluff: Each round, a random category is selected (Phone, Watch, Jewelry, etc.), and every player receives one hidden card from that category. Cards can be real, fake, or damaged. Players take turns presenting their item on stage and may lie or bluff if they wish. Other players vote with “trust” or “suspicion,” similar to a jury system, by pressing red or green buttons. At the end of the game, scores are calculated based on the votes received.

What Happens in This Mode?

If you successfully sell a fake item and the majority trusts you: +150 points

If you trust someone selling a fake item and buy it: -75 points

If you sell a real item and the majority trusts you: +150 points

If you correctly identify a real item: +50 points

If you fail to identify a real item and act suspiciously: -25 points

If you correctly identify a fake item: +30 points

If items are damaged, earned points are reduced by 50%

  • Mystery Auction: Each player receives 3 mystery items and starts with $1000. Each round, one player becomes the seller (rotating in turn). The seller places an item into a hidden box and introduces it—they may lie or bluff. Other players place bids, creating an auction. The highest bidder wins, the box is opened, and the player with the most money at the end wins the game.

  • Explosive Delivery: The starting player has 3 cargo boxes, while all other players have 2 each. The starting player selects another player, who then chooses and takes one of the starting player’s cargo boxes. One of these boxes contains a bomb, and only the player holding it knows. The bomb explodes at a random time between approximately 2 and 5 minutes—but no one knows exactly when. Whoever is holding the bomb when it explodes is eliminated, and the round continues. The last remaining player wins.

  • Whisper [BETA]: The lobby host selects the game language, and a word in that language is given. A random player starts and chooses a neighbor (left or right), whispering the word via voice chat so only they can hear it. However, each player’s voice quality and tone differ, making it difficult to understand the word. After each whisper, a text input appears, and players type the word they believe they heard. The round continues until it returns to the starting player, who then sees the original word and all submitted guesses. Players earn 1 point for each correctly guessed letter, with total points depending on word length. The starting player earns points based on others’ correct guesses, so they must communicate the word as clearly as possible.

  • New Game Modes: New modes with different mechanics and deeper strategic layers will definitely be added. I don’t want to do this alone—I want to build them with you. That’s why I plan to incorporate many ideas into the game based on your reviews, especially the ones that receive the most positive feedback.

  • New Map Designs: Fresh, creative, and fun arena designs.

  • Expanded Item Pool: Dozens of new and mysterious items that will completely change trading dynamics.

  • Advanced AI: More cunning and unpredictable bots that will challenge you—even when you’re playing alone.

  • Steam Community Features: Achievements, trading cards, badges, and community-exclusive emotes.

  • Marketplace System: I’m planning a system where items can drop while playing and be sold on Steam. This will create a more competitive environment. As players win, they’ll have a chance to earn items, which they can then sell on the market for income. I’ll need a lot of support to fully implement this system.

  • Language Support: I plan to support many languages. I’ve paid special attention to this even within the game—for example, you’ll be able to play under your country’s flag depending on the language you choose. I’ve also customized the Steam page individually for all currently selected languages. If you add the game to your wishlist, it will help me prioritize and expand support for even more languages.

And most importantly: Your valuable feedback matters. From the very beginning, I’ve aimed to create an interactive game shaped by player input. I’m developing everything on my own, but exchanging ideas is incredibly important. No matter your country or language, if you’d like to support me and be part of this game’s development, you can share your feedback by leaving a review.
