Why Early Access?

“Brumley is playable and fun right now, but we want to build it into something bigger with the community behind us. Early Access lets us get the game into players' hands while we continue adding content, balancing the difficulty, and expanding the world. Player feedback will directly shape what Brumley becomes. The best version of this game will be built with the people playing it.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect to be in Early Access for around 6 to 12 months. That said, we won't rush a 1.0 release just to hit a date. We'll leave Early Access when we're confident the game is everything we want it to be.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to significantly expand Brumley over the course of Early Access. We'd like to add more areas of the town to explore and defend, a wider variety of zombie types and behaviours, more weapons, items and upgrades to spend your coins on, and deeper story content that fills in the mystery of what happened here. We also plan to improve performance, add more audio and visual polish, and respond to whatever the community tells us is most important to them.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core game is complete and fully playable. You can squad up with up to 8 friends, fight through escalating waves of zombies, collect coins, and spend them on weapons and upgrades at the shop. The town of Brumley is explorable and the first layers of the story are already in place. It's a solid, enjoyable experience, We're just not done yet.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to raise the price when we leave Early Access, as the game will have significantly more content by that point. If you're interested in Brumley, buying during Early Access is the best time to do it.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community will be at the centre of how Brumley develops. We'll be active on the Steam forums, listening to feedback on balance, difficulty, and what content players want to see next. We'll be transparent about what we're working on and why, and we'll prioritise the changes and additions that matter most to the people actually playing the game. Brumley is our game, but the players will help shape what it becomes.”
