What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“VoxelCraft is already a large, fully playable sandbox. You can explore an endless world, survive the night, mine, craft and build, travel to the Inferno and the Void, and play together with friends or on dedicated servers. We chose Early Access because a game like this lives from its players, and we want to shape the rest of development together with our community before we call it finished.

Our goals during Early Access are:

- Use player feedback to improve balance, progression and difficulty.
-Make sure the game runs smoothly and stably on as many different PCs as possible, including the Steam Deck.
- Make multiplayer, the dedicated server and the plugin and modding tools solid enough for communities to run their own servers and game modes.
- Add the content and features listed below, step by step, through regular updates.

We are fully committed to continuing development throughout Early Access. We will release regular updates, read and respond to feedback in the Steam discussions, fix reported bugs, and see the project through to its full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to stay in Early Access for roughly 12 months. Developing a sandbox game can bring surprises, so this may shift somewhat, but our goal is to leave Early Access once the features and content listed below are complete and the game runs stably on a wide range of hardware. We will keep players informed about our progress through update notes and announcements.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will build on everything that is already in the game and add:

- More world content: new biomes, structures, creatures and boss fights, and more to discover in the Inferno and the Void.
- More items, blocks and Sparkstone machines for building and automation.
- Original artwork for the remaining placeholder creatures and blocks.
- More multiplayer game modes for servers, in addition to the existing ones such as BedWars.
- A finished and documented plugin and modding API, plus expanded Steam Workshop support for worlds, resource packs and mods.
- Better performance, especially on lower-end PCs and the Steam Deck, and more graphics options.
- A macOS version and additional languages.
- Ongoing balancing, bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements based on player feedback.

We aim to keep worlds created during Early Access compatible with the full version.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“VoxelCraft is already a large, fully playable voxel sandbox. The Early Access version includes:

- An endless, procedurally generated world with many different biomes, caves and structures, dynamic weather and changing seasons
- Survival, Creative and Adventure modes
- Mining, crafting, building, farming, trading with villagers, enchanting and brewing
- Sparkstone, our take on redstone-style circuits, including machines such as elevators, turrets, heaters and quarries
- Two more dimensions to explore, the Inferno and the Void, with a final boss waiting at the end
- Our own bestiary of creatures and monsters
- Multiplayer with friends, including built-in voice chat
- A free dedicated server tool with plugin support and ready-made game modes such as BedWars
- Steam achievements, Steam Cloud saves, Steam Workshop support and controller support
- An HD texture pack and optional shader packs with real-time shadows, bloom and god rays

As with any Early Access game, you may still run into bugs, and some content and balancing is still being worked on. We fix reported problems as quickly as possible and expand the game with regular updates.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. VoxelCraft is free to play during Early Access and will remain free to play after the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Our community is at the heart of VoxelCraft's development, and player feedback directly shapes our plans. We will involve players by:

- Reading the Steam discussion forums regularly and using them for bug reports, suggestions and feedback
- Releasing regular updates with detailed patch notes and sharing development news through Steam announcements
- Offering a preview branch on Steam where players can try upcoming features early and tell us what they think before they reach everyone
- Asking the community which features and content we should prioritize next
- Supporting community-made content through the Steam Workshop, resource packs and a plugin API for dedicated servers, so players can create their own worlds, mods and game modes

We read every piece of feedback, and the most requested features and fixes will have a direct influence on our roadmap until the full release.”

About This Game

VoxelCraft is an open-world voxel sandbox game about building, mining, and surviving in a fully destructible, procedurally generated world.

Every block can be broken, placed, and rearranged. Dig deep beneath the surface to find ore and rare resources, or build upward into sprawling structures limited only by your imagination. Each world is generated fresh, with biomes, caves, and terrain that are different every time you play.

Full block-by-block building and terraforming

Mining and crafting progression from basic tools to advanced gear

Day/night cycle with survival mechanics and hostile creatures

Creative and Survival modes

Multiplayer support for building and exploring together

VoxelCraft is built for players who want a sandbox that rewards curiosity - dig somewhere new, build something ambitious, or just wander and see what the world generates next.
