VoxelCraft End User License Agreement
About this agreement
Last updated: October 6, 2026 ยท Version: 1.0This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you and the developer of VoxelCraft, as named on the Game's Steam store page ("we", "us", "our"). It covers VoxelCraft, the VoxelCraft Dedicated Server, and all updates, content and documentation we provide with them (together, the "Game").
The Game is free of charge. It is distributed through Steam, which is operated by Valve Corporation ("Valve"). Your Steam account is governed by the Steam Subscriber Agreement ("SSA"). This Agreement governs your use of the Game itself. Where this Agreement and the SSA conflict about Steam's services, the SSA prevails.
You accept this Agreement by selecting "Accept" when Steam shows it to you, or by installing, launching or using the Game. If you do not accept it, do not install or use the Game.
If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must read and accept this Agreement for you.
Nothing in this Agreement limits rights that you have under mandatory law.
1. Using the Game
1.1 You may install and play the Game free of charge through your Steam account, on devices you own or control, for your personal entertainment. Commercial use is allowed only as Sections 3 and 7 describe.1.2 We charge nothing for the Game, its updates or its online features, and the Game contains no purchases with real money.
1.3 Anyone may install and run the VoxelCraft Dedicated Server as described in Section 7, whether or not they own the Game. This Agreement applies to that use as well.
2. What you may not do
Unless this Agreement or mandatory law allows it, you may not:- sell the Game or charge others for it, except as Section 7 allows for servers;
- distribute copies or modified versions of the Game outside Steam;
- remove or change the license notices of third-party components (Section 4);
- use cheats, bots or exploits in another player's world or on another operator's server to gain an unfair advantage or to disrupt others, unless the host or operator allows it;
- use the Game to break the law or to infringe the rights of others.
3. AI-generated content, names and media
3.1 The Game's code and content, including its textures, models, sounds and music, were created with the help of AI tools. This Agreement does not claim copyright in them.3.2 You may create and share screenshots, videos and live streams of the Game. You may also earn money from them, for example through advertising or sponsorships on your channel. Do not present them as official or as endorsed by us.
3.3 VoxelCraft is an independent game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Mojang AB or Microsoft Corporation. All third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners.
4. Open-source and third-party components
4.1 The Game includes software from third parties. This includes Electron and Chromium (open source), Valve's Steamworks SDK, and open-source libraries in the Game's Steam module. These components are licensed under their own terms, and their license notices are included in the Game's installation folder.4.2 Where the license of such a component grants you rights that this Agreement would restrict, that license prevails for that component.
5. Your creations
5.1 "Creations" are content you make for the Game. This includes worlds, resource packs, skins, server plugins, game modes and your own modifications of the Game.5.2 Your Creations remain yours. You may modify the Game on your own devices.
5.3 You may share your Creations, including through the Steam Workshop. Distributing copies or modified versions of the Game itself remains excluded (Section 2).
5.4 Your Creations must not infringe the rights of others, contain malicious code or contain unlawful content. Only use material you have the right to use, including in resource packs made for other games.
5.5 When you make a Creation publicly available, for example on the Steam Workshop, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, copy, display and distribute it in and in connection with the Game. This includes featuring it in our channels. If you withdraw the Creation, we will stop new uses within a reasonable time; promotional material we have already published may remain.
5.6 Steam Workshop contributions are also governed by the SSA. We may remove or hide Creations that break this Agreement or the law.
5.7 We do not review Creations made by others. Server plugins are program code that runs on any server that installs them. You use other people's Creations at your own risk, subject to Section 13.
6. Online play and conduct
6.1 You can play with others through Steam, with a join code, through a friends server or on a dedicated server. These features depend on Steam and on servers run by other players or by third parties. We do not operate or control them, and we cannot guarantee that they are available.6.2 Playing together requires that everyone runs the same build of the Game. You may need to install the latest update to play online.
6.3 When you play with others, you must not:
- harass, threaten, bully or discriminate against other players;
- share unlawful, hateful or sexually explicit content, or content that infringes the rights of others, whether in chat, voice, names, signs, books, skins or builds;
- cheat or exploit bugs to harm other players (see Section 2);
- attack or overload servers, hosts or other players' devices, or try to access them without permission;
- impersonate us, a server operator or another player;
- spam, advertise without permission or defraud others.
6.4 Text and voice chat reach the other players in your world or on your server, passing through its host or server. We do not record, monitor or moderate chat in other players' worlds or on dedicated servers. You can hide other players in the Game's Social Interactions screen. Hosts and server operators set their own rules and may remove players.
6.5 You can report abuse to the host or server operator, or to us in the discussions of the Game's community hub on Steam. Steam's own reporting tools apply to Steam accounts and Steam content.
7. Dedicated servers
7.1 You may install the VoxelCraft Dedicated Server through Steam or SteamCMD and run it to host worlds for players of the Game, on your own or on rented hardware. Hosting providers may install it for their customers in the same way.7.2 You may charge for access to your server or for hosting it, and you may accept donations. You must comply with applicable law, including consumer protection law, and you must not suggest that your server is official or endorsed by us. Any transaction is solely between you and your players.
7.3 As a server operator, you are responsible for your server: its rules, its content, the plugins you install and how you treat players. Your server processes personal data of players, such as names, Steam IDs, IP addresses and logs. You are responsible for complying with data protection law when you do so.
7.4 You may not distribute the server software outside Steam and SteamCMD, for example as a separate download.
7.5 Updates may change the server software and its network protocol. A server must run the current build to accept players who run the current build of the Game.
8. Updates and preview versions
8.1 We may update the Game through Steam. Reasons include fixing errors, improving security or performance, staying compatible with Steam and operating systems, complying with the law, balancing gameplay and adding content. Steam may install updates automatically. Your rights under mandatory law remain unaffected.8.2 We may offer preview or beta versions on optional Steam branches. They are unfinished: they may contain errors, change or remove features, or damage worlds. Back up your worlds before you play them in a preview version.
8.3 We may change or end online features, such as join codes or the server list, for a valid reason, for example when a third-party service they rely on ends. Where we can, we will tell you in advance.
9. Save data
9.1 The Game stores your worlds and settings as files on your device. If you use Steam Cloud, Steam synchronises these files between your devices under the SSA.9.2 Keep copies of worlds that matter to you.
10. Privacy
10.1 The Game does not send personal data to us. It contains no analytics, advertising or tracking of its own and sends no crash reports.10.2 The Game uses Steam features provided by Valve: your Steam name and avatar, your friends list, achievements, statistics, rich presence, Steam Cloud, the Steam Workshop, screenshots and the game recording timeline. Valve processes this data under its own privacy policy.
10.3 When you play with others, the other players, the host and the server operator receive your player name, your Steam ID if you use Steam, your skin, your chat and voice messages and what you do in the world. Depending on how you connect, they may also learn your IP address, in particular with join codes, on a local network and on dedicated servers. To set up a join-code connection, the Game also contacts public matchmaking servers and public STUN servers run by third parties. The connection details it sends through them are encrypted, but these servers can see your IP address.
11. Term and termination
11.1 This Agreement applies from the moment you accept it until it ends.11.2 You may end it at any time by uninstalling the Game and deleting all copies of it.
11.3 We may end your right to use the Game if you seriously breach this Agreement, or if you continue a breach after we have asked you to stop.
11.4 When this Agreement ends, you must stop using the Game and delete it. Sections 3, 5.5, 11.4 and 12 to 17 continue to apply.
12. Warranty
12.1 We provide the Game, including the Dedicated Server, free of charge, "as is" and "as available".12.2 To the extent permitted by law, we give no warranties or guarantees. In particular, we do not promise that the Game will run without errors or interruption, that it will run on your device, that online features or third-party servers will be available, or that worlds can never be lost. We are liable for defects only if we fraudulently conceal them.
13. Liability
13.1 Because the Game is free of charge, we are liable only for intent and gross negligence.13.2 This limit does not apply to injury to life, body or health, or to liability under mandatory product liability law. In these cases, we are liable as the law provides.
13.3 These limits also apply to the personal liability of our employees, representatives and contractors.
13.4 If you culpably breach this Agreement, for example with a Creation that infringes someone's rights, and a third party makes a claim against us because of it, you must indemnify us against that claim and the reasonable costs of our legal defence.
14. Changes to this Agreement
14.1 We may change this Agreement for a valid reason, for example when we add features, when the law changes or when Steam's terms change. We will show you the changed Agreement and ask you to accept it, for example through Steam the next time you start the Game. Changes never apply to the time before they take effect.14.2 If you do not accept the changed Agreement, you can stop using the Game. Your rights under mandatory law remain unaffected.
15. Applicable law
15.1 The statutory rules decide which law applies and which courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you always keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you habitually live.16. General terms
16.1 This Agreement and the SSA are the entire agreement between you and us about the Game.16.2 If a provision of this Agreement is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
16.3 If we do not enforce a right under this Agreement, we have not waived it.
16.4 You may not transfer this Agreement, except as Steam's features allow. We may transfer it to a successor that takes over the Game, provided your rights under it remain unchanged.
16.5 You may not use the Game in breach of applicable export control or sanctions laws.
16.6 This Agreement is written in English. Translations are provided for convenience; to the extent permitted by law, the English version prevails.
