What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Regulars is a cooperative game built around reading people — learning their habits, catching what's off, and making split-second calls with your team. That kind of experience only gets better with real player feedback. Early Access lets us put the core game in players' hands so we can tune difficulty pacing, balance the investigation tools, and see how groups actually play together before shaping the final product.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to be in Early Access for approximately 6 to 12 months, depending on the scope of feedback we receive and how development progresses.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the game in several areas based on what we learn during Early Access:
- More regular profiles with deeper backstories and harder-to-spot anomaly variations
- Additional recipes, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
- New inspection tools and investigation mechanics
- More anomaly types and daily rule combinations
- Expanded upgrade paths for the restaurant
- Audio, visual, and UI polish across the board
The overall scope and direction will be shaped by what players respond to most during Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core gameplay loop is fully playable. Players can host or join sessions for up to 4 players over online relay or LAN. You can seat customers, take orders, cook meals across grill, fryer, and prep stations, serve food, collect payment, and close out shifts. The investigation system is functional — inspection tools, a progressive notebook of regular profiles, and daily rules are all in place. Character customization, a restaurant upgrade system, and a leveling progression are included. The game is playable from start to finish across multiple shifts, but content, balance, and polish are still being expanded.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“It's possible we will gradually raise the price as we add new content and features throughout Early Access. Players who buy in early will get the best price and receive all future updates at no additional cost.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to actively use Steam Community discussions and our Discord server to gather feedback on balance, difficulty, and new feature priorities. Bug reports and suggestions from players will directly inform our development roadmap. We're especially interested in hearing how groups coordinate during shifts and which investigation mechanics feel the most rewarding — that feedback is difficult to get without a real player community, and it's a big reason we chose Early Access in the first place”

About This Game

They always come back. But sometimes, something else comes with them.

Regulars is a cooperative restaurant management game set during the night shift of a small sit-down diner. Seat customers, take their orders, prep ingredients across grill, fryer, and assembly stations, and serve meals before patience runs thin. It's a full-service restaurant, and you're understaffed.

But the real job isn't cooking.

Your regulars are creatures of habit.  Learn their faces, their quirks, their tells. Because tonight, something walked in wearing a familiar face, and it's sitting at table four asking for the usual.

Spot the difference. Make the call.

Use inspection tools (scales, thermometers, dermal scanners, UV lamps) to investigate customers who don't quite add up. Cross-reference what you see against your notebook of regular profiles. Follow the daily rules posted on the board. When you're sure something isn't right, pull the trigger.

Features

- Co-op for 1–8 players — Host online through relay or over LAN. Every role matters when the diner gets busy.

- Learn your regulars — Dozens of unique customer profiles with consistent behaviors, preferences, and appearances that you'll memorize over time.

- Cook real orders — Grill, fry, prep, plate, and serve from a menu of 85+ recipes with multi-ingredient assembly.

- Investigate anomalies — Tier-gated inspection tools reveal what the naked eye can't. Daily rules change what "normal" looks like each shift.

- Upgrade your diner — Unlock faster equipment, more seating, advanced info tools, and automation as your restaurant levels up.

- Customize your character — Full character creator with face, hair, clothing, and accessories.

- First-person or third-person — Toggle your camera perspective at any time.

- Full controller support — Play with keyboard & mouse or gamepad.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Some use of generative AI in background music.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Regulars is a cooperative multiplayer restaurant game with a supernatural mystery theme. Players operate a diner during night shifts, seating customers, taking orders, and identifying supernatural anomalies disguised as regular patrons. Suspected anomalies can be "purged" via weapon in a cartoonish, non-graphic manner — characters simply disappear with no blood or violence depicted. The game contains no sexual content, nudity, drug/alcohol use, self-harm, or graphic violence. The tone is lighthearted suspense similar to "Among Us" or "Papers, Please," with tension coming from observation and deduction rather than horror.
