Originally released in 1999, Provincial Player is a Russian adventure game that combines a classic point-and-click quest with a collection of mini-games, including billiards and arcade games. A curious relic of late-90s Russian PC gaming, it's now back on Steam, restored and updated for modern systems.

The game has been reverse-engineered and rebuilt from recovered source code, with improved stability and compatibility with modern operating systems, widescreen support, Steam Achievements, subtitles, fixes for bugs present in the original release, restored video and audio playback, and Steam Cloud support.

You are Art Billy — a professional billiards player with a sharp smirk and a knack for getting into trouble.

On your way from New York to Kryzhopol, you end up in Kozyulsk — a place where things quickly spiral into something far stranger. What begins as a simple stop turns into a journey through smoky clubs, risky bets, and a cast of unforgettable characters.

Kozyulsk proudly calls itself the capital of world billiards — and somehow, it lives up to it. Punks and politicians, shady figures and bizarre personalities, underground tournaments and absurd encounters — every step pulls you deeper into its strange, unpredictable world.

You start with just $50 in your pocket. Your goal is simple: earn $500 and make your way to the grand final at the Golden Goat club. How you get there is entirely up to you.
