About This Game

the weight of blood.

every bloodline begins as a single name pressed into wet ink. you carry it

for as long as it lasts — and it will not last.

each generation deals you ONE HEIR: their genome, their temperament, the

realm's pressures faction by faction, and the chronicle the last hand left

behind. you spend their life. then the page turns to the next.

one hundred generations. one ledger. the Soul Teller writes down everything

you do.

▸ BREED

every heir is a knot of inherited tissue and inherited temperament — body,

mind, word, hand. read them the way the chronicler does: not as numbers, but

as a hand the family is dealt and forced to play.

▸ DECIDE

the witan convenes. events strike without warning. the crucible tests the

blood. you make the call, the ledger logs it, and every choice compounds

down the generations.

▸ READ

turn the page and read your house like a book — the heir illuminated, the

chronicler's account of the age, the running weight of power, wealth, and the

blood's own dream. a saga you don't watch so much as witness.

▸ END

bloodlines fail. when yours does — and it will — the Soul Teller sets down the

whole run in unsparing prose. there is no clean ending it leaves out. you will

read about yourself.

▸ PROC GENESIS

procedural everything: heirs, faces, names, events, factions, eras, mutation

pressure, cultural memory — and the prose itself. no two ledgers read the same.

when one line closes, the page opens for the next.

so — when the Soul Teller finally reads your story back to you... what will

it say?

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

I used generative AI for marketing materials and the in-game manual.

Also, after your run is over, you can optionally choose to send your run info to the Bloodweight site, where it produces a webpage of the run, narrated by generative AI.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Bloodweight is a dark, text-heavy procedural narrative strategy game set in a grim fantasy world. It includes frequent themes of violence, death, injury, crime, social collapse, and psychological dread, primarily conveyed through written narrative and systemic outcomes rather than explicit visual gore. The game contains mature language and references to vice (including alcohol/tobacco), but does not contain explicit sexual content, nudity, hate/extremist symbolism, or real-money gambling features.
