Disciple is an eldritch horror pachinko roguelite. Launch your disc into the Abyss, shatter crystals for their essence, and wield the artefacts of a forgotten god.

Wield Holy Artefacts

The forgotten god's artefacts have been repurposed in devotion to the Abyss. The Blade Penitent cleaves crystals and horrors alike. Seraphim's Aura sears everything that draws near. The Sentinel thinks for itself, firing holy energy at anything that comes close.

Empower each relic with its sacred rune to awaken its true form.

Harvest Crystallised Essence

Every descent is ritual. Launch your disc, break the crystals, collect their essence. Gather enough to sate the Abyss and earn another descent. Fall short, and the Abyss devours you.

Face Abyssal Horrors

The Abyss is not the only thing that hungers. Abyssal horrors, creatures twisted by its arrival, are awakened by your descent. Parasites latch on and drain your essence as you fall. Crawlers spit poison from the dark. They all want most what you carry.

Descend Through A Dying World

The Abyss has touched everything. Cathedral spires crack under the weight of eternal frost. Sanctuaries rot into shapes that shouldn't exist. The deeper you fall, the less the world resembles anything you once knew.

The Abyss

The Abyss arrived. No one remembers when. It does not matter now, the Abyss simply is. It consumes the world. Land, sea, sky, and all. The god could not stop it. Prayers went unanswered. The faithful begged. The god was silent, or powerless, or afraid. In the madness, a new church formed. All that is known is the Abyss, and that feeding it crystallised essence stymies its flow.

Only the church knows what the crystallised essence is. Why the Abyss desires it. But nothing stops the Abyss, only slows. The church sends its disciples to harvest. The faithful, the mad, the desperate. The willing and the unwilling alike. Those who gather enough essence are deemed worthy, reborn and allowed to descend again. Those who fail are unworthy, the Abyss, still hungry, consumes them too.
