Why Early Access?

“The core idea of fungakas is an indie hero shooter that expands with the indie community as they come up with more character, charm and ability ideas that they want to see added to fungakas itself, however fungakas is still trying to hit that prefered state so while we try to grow and reach out to more of the community early access is a good way for us to get the game out and playable to the world while not fully representing our main goal but still allowing us to grow to be an indie hero shooter

We intend to make fungakas as good as it can be but to do that we need people to be able to try it in its lesser states through the whole development process to find the bad parts of it and iron it out into an actually fun experience, early access will help us with both testing and getting towards our goal while showing that we are not at where we want to be in the end yet but that we intend to grow the game overtime”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“About 3 to 4 months favourably but this is an approximate based on our current working speed as we are only a two man team, we intend to keep it in early access until its at a point where its polished and fully connected so we can realease it and then expand on it upon then, so the amount of time it could take can vary greatly”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Early access is mainly focussed on the main core gameplay, it only has around 20 characters and a limited pool of options to pick from, we intend to expand the amount of characters, especially expand the amount of customisation options for builds and have the game actually filled out at all parts. the game at the moment is a lot more scrappy to allow people to test the fundamental mechanics but its missing that polish that the final build will have to turn it into an actual game. we also intend to have the lobby fully done and menus fully set up as a part of this”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“At the moment we have around 20 characters working all with some kind of role and stratergy they are made to play in to fit their niche, along with charms and abilities that can push these characters into new ways of playing, the game also has a couple of maps and a primative lobby area, its a good sample of what the final product will be but it has enough here to already allow a lot of mechanical complexity in simplistic mechanics”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Nope its all free”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“As stated before fungakas is an indie hero shooter, fungakas has a focus on this more individual side of stuff with its mixed art styles that allow anybody to create custom characters and submit them into the game along with skins, maps and other features. fungakas intends to grow with its community allowing other indie devs to collab with it. outside of that though we want to add a lot of charms and combos thought up by the community as the game is made around customisation and has a focus on fun requiring a close connection with the community itself.

We intend to allow anyone from the community to impact the game due to this unique focus, this is especially important in these early access stages where we are still getting a hang of things trying to find what works for this game and what doesnt and figuring out what the fanbase wants through playtesting and iteration is important for our unique type of game

Fungtastic Characters!!

Choose from a wide cast of characters from an even wider variety of series such as Ceramic, Stein, Garbanzo Quest, TOCG, L'assassin and so many more along with each character having roomates as varients to the original character that shake up the original characters playstyle quite a bit expanding on it and giving you new ways to utilise its original abilities

Customise Your Builds!!!!

The main focus of this game is CUSTOMISATION boom!, every single character has a diverse set of abilities that can be swapped out to suit your exact playstyle, want to spawn only clay walls the whole match and trap people the whole game? easy!, want to only have mobility abilities to start walljumping off of every wall in your close proximity, go ahead!

you can also apply a single special you want on any character being really really big abilities that build up through the match from getting kills, by healing health or from other methods depending on what one you picked. use this as your trump card to finish off your build such as speeding in with a ton of mobility abilities and then smashing a ton of molten dices down into the ground as you do, have fun with what you make

however just swapping out abilities and specials isnt enough to satisfy these urges of customisation, so its a good thing this game has...

Slap On Some Charms!!!1!

Thats right, charms you heard me jingle jingle CHARMS, you can put up to 3 charms on any character being passive effects that modify how your character works, for example put on three charms to do with knocking people upwards when you damage them and start juggling jerries in the air as a sniper, or go ahead and just reduce all of your ability cooldowns so you can grapple and rocket jump always as a claude and not actually fight people at all

Some charms are even character specific meaning you can expand the abilities of abilities on your character adding even more depth to the customisation of said character, go crazy with what combos you make as its up to you how your character works, you can pick any Character, Roomate varients of said character, Abilities, Special and up to 3 Charms when we say you can customise your character you can customise it in any way you want also i guess theres skins too but like they dont they dont effect gameplay

Okay okay sure sure you have characters and roomates and all of these super cool systems that really make me want the game sure but whats a game without its gameplay huh what does the game offer to me, well glad you asked me because fungakas (with its big theme of customisation) also allows you to modify the gamemode as much as you want well as much as we allow you anyway, pick a normal mode such as Team Death Match or Team Death Match Without The Teams, or one of our more special modes such as Tower Takers where its a two way payload mode where you ride on the Tower (thats usually some kind of ufo or something thats distinctly not a tower based on our maps) where you need to ride it to the other side based on a certain gamemode from a little squid based shooter, or play Shmongus Snatchers where you need to snatch the shmongus before the opponents outshmong you

But then after selecting a base mode then you can throw on some Fungtastic Fhungodifiers to i mean honestly these will mess with gameplay a ton if you put a lot on but we like that becuase us at well we dont have a studio name but we like to have fun okay, and you know whats fun? Realistic fall damage in a movement shooter, or Caffeinated Craze to double the movement speed, jump height and gravity of everyone, mix that with the Quick Fingers Fhungodifier to make the abilites load two times as fast and to double the speed of shooting. or just turn on Exploding Corpses and speed on in on people to make the game frantic. If you want to ruin the game or have a ton of fun its up to you just try to avoid activating the Blightened One Fhungodifiers
