Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Northgard Battlegrounds to remain in Early Access for at least 6 months. The exact length will depend on the feedback we receive from our players and how our ideas for Northgard Battlegrounds progress. Our goal is to ensure that the game reaches a high standard of quality and depth of content before its full release. We are committed to taking the time necessary to make Northgard Battlegrounds the best it can be.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“While the core mechanics and structure of Northgard Battlegrounds are already in place, we plan to improve the overall experience by adding more content and features, polishing, balancing and bug fixing. For the full version, our goal is to increase the depth and complexity of the game's content to create a richer and more compelling game when it launches, with new additions such as:
- More clans, warchiefs and distinctive playstyles
- More content, buildings, and units mechanics
These planned additions and their progress will be shared to the community through the various roadmaps we will publish over time.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Northgard Battlegrounds includes the core gameplay mechanics and features described in the "About This Game" section of the store page. The game is fully playable, polished and largely bug-free, providing a solid foundation for your experience. While we plan to add more content and improvements, the current version is designed to provide an engaging and enjoyable experience from the start. Players can expect a balanced and stable game, ready to be explored and enjoyed.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually increase the price upon the 1.0 release, depending on the additional content and features that are added. This potential adjustment would reflect the expanded scope and improved quality of the game as we continue to develop Northgard Battlegrounds with your feedback.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We love to involve the community in development and plan to be active on our Discord server and Steam forums. We value all suggestions, bug reports and community feedback as we work together to make a better game. You are welcome to share your ideas, and upcoming changes will be discussed with the community for early feedback. We will also be conducting surveys and organising events to gather input and ensure that Northgard Battlegrounds evolves in a way that reflects the community's feedback.”

About This Game




Choose one of the renowned clans of Northgard and raise your Townhall on empty lands! Build and expand your settlement, shape your strategy, harness the Gods’ favor, and prepare your warband for the battles to come. Face rival players through asynchronous battles, where your clan will challenge others and defend its own strength. Only the most cunning Warchiefs will lead their clan to glory.





Shape your village with strategic precision. Each turn, decide how your settlement evolves. Place new buildings, gather resources, and develop your economy while forging synergies between your structures and your warband.

Your settlement’s layout is your greatest weapon. Construct economic buildings near resources to boost their production, raise military structures to recruit warriors, and build mythical sites to unleash powerful creatures on the battlefield! In Northgard Battlegrounds, every placement shapes your clan’s strength in combat. Plan wisely, your warriors will reap the benefits when the battle begins.





The Old Gods still watch over Northgard, and their blessings can reshape the fate of your clan. Choose divine powers that influence your strategy and transform the way your settlement and warband interact.

Combine blessings with your village layout and unlock powerful synergies that strengthen your path to domination. As fate shifts with each new choice, adapt your strategy and refine your build. No two runs unfold the same way, and every blessing brings new ways to empower your warband before the horns sound.





At the end of each round, the clans are ready to fight. Warbands clash in dynamic auto-battles where your strategy unfolds before your eyes. Your settlement layout, your blessings, and every decision you made now reveal their true impact on the battlefield.

You command the strategy, your warriors fight for glory. Strengthen your warband, defeat rival clans and the creatures of Northgard, and prove that your clan deserves to rule the battlegrounds! Because in the end, only one clan will stand.
