Why Early Access?

“Most of Confide is already built, but there are three big features we plan to add before 1.0: male characters, pets, and multiplayer, complete with its own game modes and mini-games. As a two-person team, we'd rather build these with players than behind closed doors. Early Access lets us hear what you love, what's missing, and what needs work, so the finished game is shaped by the people playing it.

Right now, we're building Confide around our day jobs. Our goal during Early Access is to make the leap to working on it full-time, which would mean faster updates and a more polished 1.0.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Not long. Most of Confide is already finished, so we're planning a short Early Access period and are currently aiming to release 1.0 in early 2027. If our plans change, we'll keep you posted.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For 1.0, we plan to add three major features: male characters, pets, and a much fuller multiplayer experience. Multiplayer is fairly basic right now, and our goal is to build it out with new game modes and mini-games. We're also planning more cosmetic options, and we'll keep polishing the whole game based on your feedback throughout Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Confide is fully playable today. Everything except male characters, pets, and expanded multiplayer is already in the game. Multiplayer itself is available, but it's fairly basic for now while we work on more game modes and mini-games.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Confide is free to play, and we're not planning to change that or our pricing model when we leave Early Access. We do plan to add new cosmetics to go with the features coming in 1.0.

We also plan to expand the Supporter Pack over time while keeping its price the same. If you buy it during Early Access, everything we add to it later will be yours at no extra cost.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Our Discord server is the best place to get involved. It's where you can share suggestions, report bugs, and talk with us directly. Beta testing is around the corner, so your feedback can help shape how the final game turns out. Hearing from players is a big part of how we decide what to work on next.”

About This Game

Confide is a singleplayer and multiplayer game built around a deep character creator: hundreds of morphs, ethnicity sliders, dozens of groom styles, a full range of skin tones with detailed skin modifications, eye customization, a makeup system, a clothing editor, and photo-to-morph detection. Almost every part of every customization can be adjusted, down to where tattoos and accessories sit on your character's body. Host and join lobbies to show off your character and cosmetics, with built-in host migration so a session never dies with its host. More game modes on the way!

It also includes an optional conversation mode that runs entirely offline on your own machine. With real-time language generation, speech recognition, and voice synthesis, your creation doesn't just look alive. It listens and responds.

Photography Mode

Choose from a library of ready-made poses and expressions for a quick shot, or switch into Pose Mode to position your character exactly how you want them. Frame it up, fine-tune the camera settings, and take the picture.

Your Character & Look

Build whatever you can imagine, then share it with the Confide community through the Creation Hub. Browse what everyone else has made, vote for your favorites, and download them to try out yourself. New cosmetics arrive on the Steam storefront regularly, and every item can be bought, sold, and traded on the marketplace.

Creation Hub submissions are subject to approval.

Long-Term Support

Development continues well past launch. Planned updates include a full male character, pets with their own customization options, and a steady stream of new cosmetics. Join our Discord to stay up to date and help shape the roadmap.

Conversation (Optional Feature)

Conversation mode runs entirely offline and locally. We pair advanced real-time speech models with lightweight, optimized alternatives so your companion reaches as many PC setups as possible, covering anything that meets the minimum VRAM requirements. No cloud. No server queues. No compromises on privacy.

Privacy

Your conversation data never leaves your machine, and Confide can run entirely offline. The only exceptions are the Creation Hub, where you browse and share community creations, and verification for cosmetic purchases.

All game assets are handcrafted. Generative AI is used only in the optional live conversation feature, which runs small models locally on your machine: a language model for dialogue, text-to-speech for voice, and optional speech-to-text if you'd rather talk than type.
