About This Game

"Fate is decided by the dice. But the future you seize is yours to choose!"

Dice Ark is a roguelike board game about moving through a labyrinth with dice, fighting with cards, and competing for the highest total assets at the end.
The stage is the Ark, a labyrinth that never keeps the same shape for long. Explorers control the power sealed within crystals, then turn mana, cards, and assets into a path to victory.

⚀ Roll dice, place them on cards
In battle, you roll your dice first. Then you assign the results to weapon, armor, and skill cards.
Do you spend your best result on damage? Save it for defense? Risk a die affected by a status condition?
Once every choice is locked in, both sides reveal their plans at the same time, and the cards resolve in order.
Winning is not just about rolling high. It is about turning the hand you have into a way through the fight.

⚁ Explore the Ark, fight over assets
The board is filled with monsters, merchants, chests, events, goddess statues, dark plague doctors, guardians, and crystals.
  • Defeat monsters.
  • Control crystals.
  • Collect cards and refine your deck.
  • Sometimes, break another explorer's plan.
Controlled crystals generate mana income every turn, and upgrading them raises their asset value. Control neighboring crystals together, and they become an even stronger source of mana.
When you stop on a crystal controlled by another explorer, you must choose whether to pay the toll or fight to take it.
Every step on the board can become the difference in the final appraisal.

⚂ Victory does not have to be clean
Buy from merchants, or attack them and steal their goods.
Win, and you take the prize; the cost is becoming Wanted, which limits future purchases.
Set a trap, and an explorer who stops on that space later can be disrupted.
Who you target, and where you wait for them, is part of the struggle over assets.

⚃ Debt becomes Sin
When your mana falls below zero, the Ark brands that debt as Sin.
On the next turn, you have a chance to recover by selling treasure or crystals. Fail to repay it, and the Sin deepens until Demon Transformation triggers.
After transforming, your mana returns to zero, and for the duration of the transformation you gain a deck tied to your Sin, six dice, and greatly increased HP.
It is a dangerous comeback tool, granted only to those already close to ruin.

⚄ Bend the match with FATE
Fighting, taking damage, gaining mana, and being pushed around by the dice all feed a gauge based on your chosen FATE Style.
Stored FATE can manipulate dice results, revive you, or empower your next weapon or skill.
Victory is not only about which cards you draw. It is also about when you spend your trump card.

⚅ The winner is not the strongest
When the set number of turns is over, everyone is sent into the boss battle.
Do you cooperate to defeat the boss, steal the finishing blow for the reward, or turn on another explorer at the final moment?
At the end of the game, mana, controlled crystals, treasure cards, and awards are appraised as total assets.
The last one laughing is not the strongest warrior. It is the explorer who claimed the most.
