Why Early Access?

“We are releasing Sanctus Wars in Early Access to develop the game together with the community and improve the core gameplay loop based on real player feedback. The game already offers the main combat experience, hero progression, summon unit selection, spells, and upgrade systems, but we want to expand and balance them further.

Early Access will help us refine combat pacing, unit balance, difficulty scaling, progression, and content variety. Sanctus Wars is also inspired by a story from an upcoming book, and Early Access gives us the opportunity to shape the final experience with player feedback while continuing development of the world, systems, and content.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently estimate Sanctus Wars will remain in Early Access for approximately 6 to 12 months, depending on development progress, balancing needs, and community feedback. Our goal is to leave Early Access when the core systems, content variety, and overall polish reach the quality level expected for the full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the full version of Sanctus Wars to include player-versus-player multiplayer (PvP), more spells, additional gameplay polish and balancing, and a completed story experience.

During Early Access, our focus is on improving the core gameplay loop, combat balance, progression systems, and overall stability based on community feedback. The full version is intended to deliver a more complete content set and a finished narrative arc.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already includes the core gameplay experience of Sanctus Wars: action combat, hero progression, spells, summonable unit selection, and upgrade systems. Players can experience the main gameplay loop and the dark fantasy atmosphere of the game.

At the current stage, the game does not yet include multiplayer, some planned spells are still missing, the story is not yet complete, and players may encounter minor bugs or balance issues while development continues.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. We do not plan to change the price during Early Access or after the full 1.0 release. The current price reflects our intended long-term value of the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community will be able to share feedback through our website, the Steam page, and social media channels. We will review player opinions on balance, gameplay, difficulty, bugs, and requested features. Our goal in Early Access is to develop Sanctus Wars together with the community and improve the game based on valuable feedback.”
