What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Medieval Tavern Simulator is a game we want to shape during its development based on feedback from our community. Early Access will allow us to engage with our players and develop the game based on their feedback and suggestions. This way, we aim to deliver an experience that directly meets our players’ expectations in key areas such as game mechanics, balance adjustments, and content variety.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Medieval Tavern Simulator will be in Early Access for about 6 months. During this time, we will focus on improving the core gameplay experience and adding new features based on player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the full version, we plan to deliver more content, deeper gameplay systems, and improved performance compared to the Early Access version. Our goal is to create a more immersive and mechanically rich tavern management experience, both in terms of atmosphere and simulation depth.

Planned expansions include a wider variety of customer types and social behavior systems, a more advanced reputation and rumor mechanic, a more comprehensive staff management system (musicians, servers, cooks, etc.), and new areas that allow players to physically expand their tavern. We also plan to introduce additional mini-games (such as table games, games of chance, or skill-based entertainment), dynamic events, and special themed nights.

Additionally, we aim to deepen the economic systems, expand food and drink production chains, and make customer behavior more dynamic and unpredictable. We also plan to broaden customization systems, allowing players to shape the tavern’s atmosphere through decoration, music selection, and entertainment styles.

However, rather than making firm promises about specific future additions, we intend to shape development based on community feedback. Our objective is to build a medieval tavern simulation experience that evolves over time together with our players.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version is fully playable and includes the core tavern management mechanics. Players can open and manage their tavern, welcome customers, take orders, and serve four different types of beer.

The game also includes a tavern expansion system that allows players to unlock new areas, as well as a well-water system used as part of the tavern’s daily operations. These systems form the foundation of the current progression and management loop.

However, content variety, balancing, AI behavior, and overall optimization are still in active development. Some mechanics are currently available in their foundational form and will be expanded and refined throughout Early Access.

During the Early Access period, our priority is to strengthen the core gameplay experience while incorporating community feedback. Our goal is to gradually develop the tavern into a more detailed, dynamic, and immersive medieval management simulation.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We currently do not plan to increase the price of the game during or after Early Access. Our goal is to continue adding new content, features, improvements, and optimizations while keeping the game accessible and fairly priced for our players.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“To involve our community in the development process, we will implement an active feedback collection strategy. We will listen to player suggestions via our Discord server, social media channels, and Steam community page, conduct regular surveys, and deliver updates based on feedback. Additionally, we will host periodic community events to encourage players to contribute directly.”
