Ever said, “Let me finish this hand, then I can die”? We did and took our gaming addiction to the afterlife. Yeko tells the absurd tale of skeletons who couldn’t get enough of Okey in life and now set up the table beyond the grave low on calcium, but never on competitive spirit.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“"Hi there! We developed this game in our living room with a 'massive' two-person crew: a husband and wife duo. The idea of four skeletons playing Okey sounded crazy at first (or maybe it was just us!), but now it's time to share those bone-clacking sounds with you. The tiles are set, the racks are ready; but to balance the table and add new games, we need real players to shout, 'Why am I not getting the right tiles?!'"

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“"Depending on our home coffee stocks and the length of our 'should we add this feature too?' debates over dinner, we expect to be here for about 6-8 months. Since there are only two of us, we prepare every update meticulously (and sometimes with a bit of friendly banter)."

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“"Right now, it's just Okey at the table, but there's much more cooking in the kitchen! In the full version, we plan to add new games, ridiculous costumes for our skeletons, and new environments to shift the mood. With our two-person energy, we won't stop until these skeletons are practically dancing!"

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“"The foundation is rock solid (or should we say bone solid?). We have a perfectly functional Okey mode with 4 skeletons and a mystic atmosphere. We've tested it countless times at home, shouting 'I'm going for doubles!' at each other to squash bugs; so the current version is very stable and fun."”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“"The early bird gets the seat! We've kept the price lower for those who join us early on this journey and become part of our family. As we add more games and features to the table, we plan to increase the price slightly."

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“"Write to us about anything! You can nag us with questions like 'Why is my skeleton's hat crooked?' or 'Where is the Poker mode?'—we're used to it! We'll be personally active (both of us!) on Discord and Steam forums. Come on, we're looking for a fourth player; we'll see you at our Okey table!"”

About This Game

Forget traditional board games. Yeko is an original indie project that blends classic culture with absurd humor and physics-based mechanics where competition doesn’t end, not even in the grave. In the world of skeletons, the rules are flexible… just like our characters’ necks!

New Rules at the Afterlife Table

In Yeko, you must rely not only on luck, but also on your attention and speed. The core “Strategic Intervention”               system completely transforms traditional gameplay strategies.

  • Neck Extension: With a physics-based neck mechanism that can reach even the farthest corner of the table, you can spy on your opponents’ moves or interfere with tiles on the ground from a distance.

  • Stealing Mechanic: You can steal tiles not only from the table, but even directly from your opponents’ hands. Be careful, though dynamic head movements and shifting gaze angles mean you can be caught at any moment

  • Dynamic Animation System: Skeleton heads that move freely left, right, up, and down react comically to every move and every stolen tile, balancing the tension at the table with humor.

Those Who Wait in the Dark

The world of Yeko is not limited to the classic table. Deep within the grave, we continue working on new and mysterious game modes that will completely rewrite the rules of okey.

Very soon, we’ll return with updates that will overturn the balance at the table and drag your skeletons to places they’ve never been before.

For now, we can only say this: You haven’t seen anything yet.

      Key Features

  • Absurd Physics & Animations: Unique head and neck movements enhanced with hilarious animations.

  • Innovative Gameplay: To win, you’ll need more than just a good hand you’ll need a fast neck and professional-level stealing skills.

  • Voice Chat & Animated Jaws: Your skeleton’s jaw moves in real-time as you speak. It’s not just the tiles moving; the skeletons are talking back!

  • Independent Spirit: An indie game experience built with passion and humor by a two-person team.

Developer’s Note:
“We designed this game together with my spouse, wondering how we could make that sweet competition at the game table even more absurd. The ‘tile-stealing’ fights and laughter we experienced while testing it ourselves we’re now bringing them straight to your table. If our marriage survived the rivalry during this development process, your friendships might survive this table too!

…Well, we hope so.”

In Yeko, everyone who sits at the table is equal but the one with the longer neck is always one step ahead. Add it to your Wishlist now and take your place in this bony adventure!
