Why Early Access?

“GreenMars: Expedition 744 is built around systems that interact over time: exploration, survival, base building, terraforming, automation, and long term planetary progression. Early Access gives us the opportunity to test those systems in real gameplay conditions, improve them with player feedback, and shape the game around what works best in practice rather than developing everything in isolation.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect GreenMars: Expedition 744 to remain in Early Access for around 12 to 24 months. This may change depending on development progress, feature scope, and community feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the full version to expand significantly on the foundations introduced in Early Access. This includes broader automation, deeper terraforming systems, more planetary engineering features, additional ecological progression, more exploration content, more threats and environmental challenges, and expanded multiplayer functionality. We also plan to continue improving balance, progression, visuals, performance, and overall game feel throughout development.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version is a very early playable foundation of the game. Players can already explore the Martian surface and caves, gather resources manually, place their first machines, begin local terraforming, use early spreader drones, build a first outpost, and encounter the first hostile lifeforms. However, many systems are still in an early state, and a large part of the planned content and progression is not yet implemented.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We do not plan to significantly change the price during Early Access. We may consider a small adjustment after Early Access as the game becomes more complete.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want community feedback to play an important role throughout development. We plan to gather feedback through Steam Discussions, player reports, community conversations, and playtesting reactions. We will use that feedback to help prioritise improvements, refine systems, and better understand how players engage with the game as it evolves.”
