What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“As a solo developer, I find puzzle difficulty balance, dialogue polish, and finding and fixing bugs challenging on my own. The game will launch in Early Access, but not incomplete; the game will be finished from start to finish. The reason for Early Access is to smooth out small issues in gameplay and improve the points listed above with community support.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I'm planning for the Early Access period to last around 3 to 4 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I'm planning to replace AI generated images, like the memory illustrations, with hand drawn art.
I'm planning to add extra puzzles outside the story chapters to extend playtime.
I'm planning to rebalance puzzle difficulty.
We're planning to expand sound design, music, puzzles, and world design with extra content.
I'm planning to improve translations, NPC dialogue, visual details, and story flaws.
I'm planning small bug fixes and performance improvements.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The story and game are considered complete from start to finish; there may be minor bugs or flaws, but I'm testing as thoroughly as I can.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We're planning for the price to increase by a small amount for the full version.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We're planning to consider feedback from Steam reviews, social media, and the community. We'll also take into account emails sent to nuktedantheforgottenemotions@gmail.com.”

About This Game

Nuktedan: The Forgotten Emotions

Nuktedan is a small bird. He doesn't remember the shape of the cliff. He doesn't remember falling. But it hurts.

Nuktedan's world was once full of color. Now it is black and white. Because every color was a memory — and Alzheimer's took them, one by one. The memories are gone. But every memory left a trace — and those traces became puzzles. You can follow them.

The core mechanic is simple: guide a laser to a cube. But the path is never simple. Every emotion you gain is not just a memory — it becomes a tool. When yellow arrives, you can rewind time. When blue arrives, you fade into shadow. When red arrives, you tear down the wall ahead. Every emotion opens a new way to see the world — and some puzzles can only be solved when you feel the right thing.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

I started this journey at 18. From January 2025 to April 2026, every line and every drawing of Nuktedan was made purely by my own hand. I never touched AI.
But the reality of indie development is harsh. Financial hardship left me facing a choice: shelve the game, or bring it to you through Early Access. I chose the latter.
This came at a cost: I had to use AI support during coding and for certain specific visuals, like the bird's memory drawings. It didn't sit right with me, but it was the decision that kept the project alive.
My promise to you is clear: after Early Access, or in the full release, every trace of AI on the visual side will be completely removed. Those drawings will be redrawn from scratch, by my own hand.
Even in its current form, Nuktedan represents two years of my life. Thank you for your understanding and patience. We're growing this game together.
