What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Bandit Life is entering Early Access because the core game is already playable, but I want to improve and expand it with player feedback.

The game has many connected systems, including camp management, survival, exploration, crafting, stealing, and combat. Early Access will help me balance these mechanics, improve the tutorial and progression, and better understand how players approach different strategies.

As a solo developer, I believe community feedback will be extremely valuable in shaping Bandit Life into a deeper, clearer, and more enjoyable strategy experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Bandit Life is planned to stay in Early Access for approximately 6 to 12 months.

This may change depending on player feedback and the amount of balancing, polishing, and additional content needed before the full release. The goal is to leave Early Access only when the game feels stable, clear, and satisfying to play.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to be a more polished and expanded version of the Early Access release.

The Early Access version will contain the core gameplay systems, including camp management, resource gathering, crafting, stealing, travelling, and combat. During Early Access, I plan to improve balance, polish the tutorial, fix bugs, refine the user interface, expand events and encounters, and add quality-of-life improvements.

The final scope may evolve based on player feedback, but the main goal is to make the full version more stable, clearer, better balanced, and richer in content.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is playable and includes the core gameplay loop of Bandit Life.

Players can manage a bandit camp, assign tasks to gang members, gather resources, craft, build, steal, travel, progress their characters, and take part in combat. The main systems are already in place, but the game still requires balancing, polishing, bug fixing, and more content.

Some mechanics and features may be adjusted during Early Access based on player feedback. The current version represents the foundation of the game, not the final polished experience.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I am not planning on changing the price when it leaves early access”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan to involve the community through Steam discussions, Discord, bug reports, and regular feedback posts.

Community feedback will help me improve balance, tutorials, combat, progression, user interface clarity, and overall game flow. I want to see how players approach the game, what strategies they use, what feels confusing, and what should be improved first.

I also plan to share development updates and use player feedback to help prioritize fixes, quality-of-life improvements, and future content.”

About This Game

Gather your gang. Build a hideout. Take what you need from those who cannot defend it.

Bandit Life is a medieval strategy game about managing a gang of outlaws, expanding your camp, and making decisions whose consequences often return at the worst possible moment.

You are no knight or chosen hero. You are an outlaw responsible for a group of hungry, greedy, and not always loyal companions. To survive, you must gather resources, issue orders, and decide when someone else’s life is worth the risk.

Explore the world, ambush travelers, hunt, steal from towns, and raid rival camps. Every success builds your gang’s reputation. Every failure may cost you your loot, leave someone badly wounded, or kill a bandit who will not be easily replaced.

Lead people, not pawns

Every member of your gang has their own attributes, skills, equipment, energy, and morale.

Assign your people to construction, production, gathering, travel, or combat. Keep them fed, rested, and in fighting condition—a starving or broken bandit can quickly become a threat to the entire gang.

Loyalty is never guaranteed. Neglected companions may start fights, sabotage your plans, rob the gang, or simply leave.

Live off what others cannot defend

Stop travelers on the road and choose your approach. Threaten, extort, negotiate, or attack—but make sure you judge your target carefully.

A frightened wanderer may surrender their purse without a fight. Someone else may try to deceive you, call for help, or prove far more dangerous than they first appeared.

You can also steal from towns, plunder ancient ruins, hunt wild animals, and launch raids against rival gangs.

Build a home beyond the reach of the law

Expand your main camp, establish new hideouts, and take control of captured strongholds.

Construct buildings that provide beds, prepare food, produce tools and weapons, store relics, and ready your people for future expeditions.

Resources do not disappear into a magical shared inventory. Supplies, equipment, and loot must be delivered to the places where they are needed. A poorly prepared expedition may be over before it truly begins.

Visit Black City

In Black City, the law has a price—and almost everything is for sale.

Trade your loot, deal on the black market, search for new recruits, hire mercenaries, or let your people recover at the tavern. Just be careful whose path you cross. The city is full of ambitious outlaws who do not take kindly to competition.

Face the consequences

The world reacts to your gang’s actions. Events can create new opportunities, spark conflicts, lead to battle, or permanently alter the course of your campaign.

There is no single path to success. Build a stable economy, survive through trade and hunting, specialize in theft, or crush the rival gangs standing in your way.

The question is not whether you will get your hands dirty.

The question is: how much will you sacrifice before every road fears your name?
