What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“It's currently in early access, as I want the game to evolve alongside the player base. Receiving feedback will help in ensuring the game is as good as possible (and enjoyable) upon release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“There is no absolute date for game completion, but it will remain in early access for many months, until I believe it ready for release. At the very least, Revenant Maze will be in early access for roughly 5-7 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The game is envisioned to have unique floors for every run. Making every playthrough feel different and fun. Of course, the inevitable increase of peripherals/shards is a focus, but more action on the player's end is important as well.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of early access consists of 3 difficulties, 5 biomes, and a small abundance of peripherals/shards. With an infinite (or at least very high) floor cap, unless players wish to end their run early by other means.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game's price will more than likely increase over time as more content is created. ”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Utilising feedback provided by Steam reviews or other sources such as Discord act as great methods for me to understand what players may want. As well as responses about the game's balancing and overall fairness, or potential ideas that make the game more enjoyable. I want people to have fun.”

Your Briefing

Your duty is as follows: EXTERMINATE_ALL_REDUNDANT_PROTOTYPES. Travel through the maze at blazing speeds to accomplish this task as quickly as possible, before it becomes too challenging...

The Maze:

A series of procedurally generated passageways that are capable representing different biomes. From tiny crawling spaces to huge expanses of land. Travelling through ice, thunder, heat, water and more, each run feels fresh from the last.

Every time you enter the maze, it will grow larger, and more prototypes shall form

Powerful Assists:

Various aids such as Peripherals, Sub-Peripherals and Oblique Shards will greatly assist you while going through floors. Raw stat upgrades, and manually activated abilities make for unique gameplay. Combine these to an optimal form and become an unstoppable being!

Quick-Combat

Search for Monoliths, grand structures that grant immense power, to acquire your next target. Enable your combat mode and exterminate the designated prototype. However, they won't go down without a fight.
