About This Game

Football meets chess. HexaFootball is turn-based football strategy: read the pitch, move your players hex by hex and pick your moment. Pass, dribble, tackle or shoot – then let the duel decide.

Every turn has three beats: attack with 4 moves, defend with 5, then a 2-move bonus to finish what you started. Moves are shared by the whole team, so every step counts.

• See each player's reach and the defenders' pressure zones before you commit.

• Play short passes, lift high balls, dribble past defenders or go for goal.

• Every action shows its chance of success before you play it.

When two players meet, it's a duel: a d20 roll plus the stats of the players involved. Steals, aerial duels and shots are settled on the dice panel, with every modifier on screen.

• Pace, dribbling, passing, shooting, tackling, heading and saving shape every roll.

• Passes through traffic can be cut out with a d6 interception roll.

• A natural 20 can turn a long shot into a goal. A natural 1 can end in a red card.

The whole match, turn by turn. A long shot, a natural 20 – and the stadium erupts. Fouls lead to free kicks and penalties, and the referee isn't afraid to show a card.
