Deep in the forest, an alchemist hides a monster, Tobari. Driven by hidden motives that outweigh the danger, the alchemist suffers from an illness. Beside them, the monster finds its heart torn by strange, conflicting emotions...

Characters

Nagi

The alchemist. To craft an “elixir,” they moved alone from a hidden institute to an abandoned shop in the forest. Though Nagi has to nurse the injured Karato much of the time, they harbor a deep hatred for the Tobari.

Karato

A young Tobari. His gregarious nature makes him an excellent shopkeeper, but his monstrosity forced him to a nomad existence before he found Nagi. He has never questioned his nature…until now.

Eisberg&Gregor

Allies who assist Nagi. At times they act as mentors; at others, they are the trial itself. Long term friends, they are very different.

System

Focus on story: Lots of talking and role-play.

The feeling of the game: Dark but warm, “slice-of-life” interactions.

What is a “Tobari”?

A hidden race of monsters. They share similarities with vampires: they crave blood and loathe sunlight, but their blood is toxic, leading to short lifespans. Due to certain circumstances, they never form packs, and their numbers remain few. “All Tobari are alone.”
