What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to release IronWood into Early Access to give our fans a chance to play our game early and before it's fully completed. All the extra feedback and suggestions we'll get from players will shape our game into a better and more polished quality product.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We're planning on fully releasing IronWood sometime in early 2027. We plan to focus on other games and projects while we're continually updating IronWood, but at the moment our deadline for releasing IronWood out of Early Access will take place in either March or April of 2027, though of course it could possibly take more or less time depending on how the development process goes.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of our game will likely contained most of if not every future level, weapon, enemy, and other assets planned for the full release. We're planning on wrapping up the in-game story and applying rigorous bug fixes and polish to make our game as best as it possibly can be. Although some features we plan on adding could be scrapped due to time constraints or anything else unexpected that happens during the development process.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Our game is about 2/5 completed with five levels, two major bosses, and most of the foundational assets. Most bugs that we have found so far have been fixed, but of course more bugs and things we need to polish will present themselves as we further development on our game.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We're planning on raising the price after the game comes out of early access. Not significantly, but it will definitely be noticeable for people who have kept an eye on our game during Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan on sharing our new additions to our game through social media such as Youtube, TikTok, and Instagram. Our fans can give us feedback through these videos and our website which features Google Forms for inputting feedback, suggesting ideas, and reporting bugs. ”
