About This Demo

Crawl to the Depths is a first-person roguelite where you adventure through destructible caverns. You use the environment to gain an advantage in fast-paced combat, and modify your playstyle by upgrading your equipment on a journey into a forgotten underworld.

• Encounter strange creatures, criminal gangs, mercenaries and untold horrors in fast paced first-person combat.

• Explore mineshafts, caverns, underground jungles, and bandit hideouts.

• Shoot loose rocks to cause cave-ins that crush enemies, anger nests of exploding "gophers", or shoot unstable crystals that explode into cluster bombs.

• Carve your own way through the caves by taking advantage of fully destructible terrain, and build bridges and structures to avoid environmental hazards.

• Mine for ores and gather useful materials scattered throughout the caverns to upgrade your equipment.

• The game features a unique upgrade system where you can combine different materials together to create unique weapon combinations. Add spikes to a bat, craft a deadly steel shotgun, or upgrade your pickaxe to mine harder minerals.

• Sacrifice gold at altars to unlock magic spells. Whirl your enemies away in a tornado, shoot a barrage of fireballs, or dash yourself out of danger.

The length of the game is roughly 20-100 minutes from start to finish, depending on how good you are.

That's roughly half as large as the final game.
