Why Early Access?

“Real or Rep is built around two things: running your own sneaker store and spotting fakes through legit checks. Both depend heavily on balance and feel. How hard should a fake be to spot? How fast should the store grow? Which sneakers do players actually want to collect?

We are a small independent team, and we believe the best answers will come from the people playing the game. Early Access lets us build the remaining systems together with the community, tune the economy and legit check difficulty based on real feedback, and keep adding sneakers and features that players care about most.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Real or Rep to stay in Early Access for around 4 to 6 months. This is an estimate rather than a fixed date. If player feedback shows that a system needs more time, we would rather take that time than release an unfinished full version.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the game in several directions during Early Access:

More sneakers: New models and sizes added to the collection over time.
More products: New products and variations for your store.
Deeper legit checks: More fake variations and more details to inspect, keeping the challenge fresh for experienced players.
Store progression: Additional expansions, decorations and upgrades for your shop.
Staff and automation: Helpers who can take over routine tasks, so you can focus on new and rare sneakers.
Polish: Balance improvements, quality of life features, more language support and general optimization.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is fully playable from start to finish of the core loop. You can:

Buy, price and sell sneakers in your own store
Legit check sneakers and decide whether they are real or fake, using the in game Brand Book as reference
Collect hundreds of detailed sneaker models
Sell tens of different products in your store
Expand your store and grow your business
Serve customers and manage your inventory
Enter the auctions to collect more sneakers

The game is stable and offers many hours of gameplay, but you may encounter bugs and balance issues. We will fix them regularly with frequent updates.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We plan to raise the price gradually as the game grows with new content and features. Players who join during Early Access will get the game at its lowest base price and receive all future updates at no extra cost.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Our Discord and the Steam discussion forums are the heart of development. We read every piece of feedback and reply personally.

Bug reports and suggestions directly shape our update roadmap. For bigger decisions, such as which features or sneaker collections come next, we will ask the community through polls and discussions. We will also share regular development updates so players always know what we are working on and why.”
