What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We believe that it is essential - both for players and for us as a development team - to connect and engage in dialogue early on in order to create the best possible version of Lucidium: Grimmgart.
Role-playing games thrive on the diverse experiences of their players. That`s why we want to involve our community from an early stage, learn from their experiences, and let them be part of the development process.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“With the core systems already implemented, a large number of models and animations created, and the remaining acts fully planned, we are aiming for an Early Access phase of approximately one to two years.
However, experience has taught us that game development can sometimes take longer and follow unexpected paths that we couldn`t anticipate. As a small team, we unfortunately cannot guarantee a fixed timeline - the game will be released when we feel it is truly ready.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Throughout development, we plan to update the Early Access version with additional weapons and talents, expanded mechanics, and overall improvements. We also plan to expand the playable area with new locations and more story content.
The full release will introduce the remaining acts, along with their respective regions and stories. It will bring the main storyline, which started in the prologue, to a satisfying conclusion.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Prologue (playable in the demo) and Act I are included in the Early Access version. While we cannot guarantee a specific playtime, you can expect several hours of playtime per playthough.
We have worked hard to make as many of the planned full release features as possible available during Early Acess. Aside from future regions and story content, there is no major gameplay feature that is not already present in some form in the Early Access version.
That said, all Early Access content remains subject to change.
Our goal is to provide a well rounded and cohesive experience throughout Early Acess, with as few missing features as possible. Above all, we want to deliver an enjoyable experience that offers a glimpse of what the full verion will be like. With player feedback and suggestions, we are confident that bugs can be resolved and content refined, allowing Lucidium: Grimmgart to grow into its best possible version.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We see your support during Early Access as a vote of confidence in us as a new and young development team. In return, the game will be priced lower throughout the Early Access phase than it will be at full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“As a new and young development team, we hope to build a strong community during Early Access. We invite all players to join us on Discord and in Forums, to discuss and give feedback about the game. While we have a clear and strong vision for Lucidium: Grimmgart, our goal is to integrate player feedback into our vision wherever it enhances the experience.
By the end of Early Access, we aim to deliver a full release that unifies our ideas with those of our players, creating the kind of experience our community wants.
As a small team, it`s impossible for us to explore every possible playthrough on our own. That`s why we`re excited to develop the game alongside our community and discover what players uncover and experience within our world.”

About This Game

D' Mär Lucidium: Grimmgart is a story-driven open-world RPG that fully immerses you in the world and the role of your character.

In a world where humans have vanished, you are among the first to return - stepping into a land now ruled by former enemies.

Create your character, shape your personality, and decide what role you will take in this new world.

Choose your skills and combat style, and explore the living world of Grimmgart.

Nowhere in the Empire are the scars of the War of Divinity as visible as in the mountain valley Grimmgart. Nowhere else, is the struggle against decay and corruption fought so fiercely.

As the first human to return after the first War of Divinity and the subsequent disappearance of humankind, you enter a world dominated by former enemies - cautious, yet curious.

As the final and decisive battleground of the war, the valley holds countless stories and treasures, as well as great dangers. A refuge for outlawed factions, the path forward is rarely easy or safe. You will have to learn how to navigate these turbulent waters and discover who your friends, and your enemies, truly are.

Shape your personality with every word and every action. Be confident or hesitant, rational or emotional, self-serving or selfless... No personality is set in stone. Your story is shaped by your personality: who likes you, who distrusts you, and who you can rely on.

Develop your character and use your skills to solve situations your own way. Mastering everything is impossible. Brew potions, cast spells, persuade, negotiate, steal, or fight - creative solutions are everywhere.

Define your playstyle. When words fail, take up arms: charge into battle with sword and shield, pierce your enemies from afar with spears and arrows, eliminate foes silently, or unleash your arcane powers to destroy them. Every action is determined by your stats and skill - attacks can miss, spells can fail, and enemies may counter your every move.

Make choices that affect the everyday lives of the people around you. Nothing is purely black or white - everyone has their own motives. Join a guild, build reputation and trust... and live with the consequences of your actions.
