What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“OshiYa's core loop is playable, but its long-term collection pacing benefits from real player behavior. Early Access lets the community help shape ticket cadence, duplicate protection, prestige balance, onboarding and the desktop presentation while the Train Chronicle grows. We want feedback from both short session players and long-run optimizers before calling the game complete.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Early Access to last roughly 9 to 15 months. This is an estimate, not a fixed release promise: the timing will depend on playtest data, technical stability and the scope that proves valuable to the community.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to offer a substantially larger Train Chronicle, more train stories and collection goals, additional event and progression variety, clearer onboarding, broader accessibility options and more polished desktop presentation. The long-term design has room for a collection much larger than the current 20 trains; the exact train count and feature scope will be adjusted from player feedback rather than treated as a fixed promise.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current build contains the complete active clicker and idle loop, offline progress, five upgrade paths, prestige restarts, random station events, achievements, statistics and the Train Chronicle. Twenty train cards are released: 16 normal trains earned through play and four premium cosmetic trains included with the Steam edition. Cards include story, technical data, top-down reverse views, individual equipped perks and Bronze/Silver/Gold duplicate mastery. English and German are the fully reviewed interface languages for the Steam release. Windows and Linux builds use mouse and keyboard.

Known Early Access limits: the collection is still small relative to its long-term direction, balance and onboarding will continue to change, and the current build does not claim controller support or native Steam achievements. We aim to preserve save compatibility where practical. Because systems may change during Early Access, save compatibility cannot be guaranteed.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We plan to raise the base price when OshiYa leaves Early Access to reflect the additional content and polish developed during Early Access. The scope and timing of that change may evolve as development continues.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will use the Steam Community Hub, discussion boards and update posts for bug reports and structured feedback. We are especially looking for reports about the point at which progression feels repetitive, train draw fairness, prestige timing, text readability, Linux compatibility and desktop usability. Feedback will be summarized into balance and usability priorities, and material changes will be explained in update notes.”

About This Game

Keep Hakomori moving

OshiYa is an active clicker and idle management game set in Hakomori, a fictional rail nation where every platform runs on schedules, ambition and just enough friendly chaos.

Click the platform to guide commuters into the train, complete departures and reinvest your income. Improve your pushing power, passenger flow, train speed, capacity and conductor, then decide when to restart through prestige with a stronger foundation.

Build your Train Chronicle

Earn draw tickets through play and discover 16 earned trains: eight in the draw pool and eight more at visible upgrade, event and prestige milestones. Duplicate cards advance through Bronze, Silver and Gold mastery and strengthen individual equipped perks. Each released train has an illustrated detail card with story, technical records and a top-down reverse view.

A complete premium edition

The Steam edition contains no advertising and no real-money shop. It includes a permanent 20% income bonus and all four currently released premium cosmetic trains. The normal collection and mastery progress are earned in-game.

Current Early Access features

  • Active clicker play with persistent offline progress
  • Five upgrade paths and prestige restarts
  • 20 released train cards: 16 earned trains and four included premium cosmetics
  • Station rating, thief decisions and a five-level security file
  • Transparent draw odds, progression milestones and duplicate protection
  • Train lore, technical records and Bronze/Silver/Gold mastery
  • Random station events, achievements and lifetime statistics
  • Mouse and keyboard controls on Windows and Linux
  • Complete English and German interface localization

OshiYa is designed for both quick departures and longer optimization sessions: restore order to one crowded platform, chase the next card milestone or refine a full prestige run.
