Why Early Access?

“This game has been in development for a while and we've found that the best way for us to improve the game is with the help of people who play the game! We believe the only way we can make this an amazing rockhounding game, and a celebration of the PNW and it's Geology, is through Early Access. ”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our current plan is to remain in Early Access for about a year”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of the game is planned to have additional ways to find rocks beyond the basic rockhounding world map, more options for players to do things with the rocks they find, and some more narrative elements that have not been worked into the game at this time.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“This version of the game is small and stable. We've really focused on maintaining the core game loop so it's entertaining, and provides a foundation for us to build off of. We have 6 islands available and 30+ rocks to collect. ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“As we add more major changes to features, we plan to increase the price. However we do not plan on changing it more than twice after the launch into Early Access ”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“All of the rocks in the game and the environment is based on our team's experiences while rockhounding. We want to get input from the community on additional rocks, minerals, or activities that they feel like should be included to make this game a true celebration or rocks and rockhounding!

We'll post the things we're working on regularly and ask the community to help us prioritize what they want to see in the game.”
