Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We aim to release the full version (1.0) by Spring 2027, shaping our Early Access process through community feedback and supporting it with regular updates.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to make Barfender bigger, deeper, and even more chaotic on the road to 1.0. You can find the full plan in our roadmap, but the main areas we aim to expand are:

- Deeper Bartending: More drinks, refrigeration, ice, and richer preparation mechanics.
- Kitchen & Food: Prepare foods like fries, burgers, pizzas, and more.
- Staff & Automation: New staff roles, personalities, and management options.
- Side Quests & Storylines: New characters, stories, and activities like the Fight Club.
- Building & Entertainment: More customization, equipment, pool, darts, arcade machines, and more.
- Chaos & Progression: New customer behaviors, special events, and deeper long-term progression.

Our priorities may evolve during Early Access based on community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Barfender is already fully playable and fun as of today. Here’s what’s currently in the game:

- Online Co-op: Play with friends, run the bar and share the CHAOS together.
- A Wide Variety of Cocktails and Drinks: Each with its own preparation mechanics.
- Core Gameplay Loop: Take orders, prepare drinks, serve customers, clean up, and BREAK UP FIGHTS.
- Character Customization: We currently have a wide variety of outfits and hairstyles. You can also adjust your character’s face and body proportions.
- Leveling System: In the current version, you can expand your bar and unlock new equipment. Even in Early Access, the game already provides a clear sense of progression. As you level up, new missions will continue to unlock :)
- A Variety of Customers: Each customer has a different personality, dialogue, and potential to cause trouble. We’ve also paid special attention to their appearances to make interactions with them feel more engaging and personal.
- Expand Your Bar: Buy neighboring shops, expand your space, and make room for more customers.


In short: the foundation of the game is solid, fun, and fully playable. Now, with your feedback, we want to turn it into something even better.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The Early Access price is based on the game's current content.

As the game expands with new features, themes, mini games, and mechanics, the price will be adjusted to reflect these additions.

The price may be updated upon the full release but if you purchase the game during Early Access, you will receive all future content at no extra cost.

Our goal is to always maintain a fair balance between the game's value and its price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have to admit, you are shaping Barfender's direction more than we are, and we absolutely love it. Long before Early Access even began, your amazing brainstorming sessions on Discord completely transformed the game.

Take the "Staff System" for instance: we were planning to add it months later, but you requested it so passionately that we brought it all the way up to Day 1.
