What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We’re launching in Early Access to build the game alongside our community and gather feedback on core systems, game modes, and mechanics. This allows us to refine the game toward what the community actually wants and get immediate feedback on changes and new systems while we continue to flesh out the game adding new content”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I'm personally aiming for early access to be 1 year at most. But this is subject to change. If the game is successful hiring even 1 person to spread the work load out from just me would make a massive difference but in general i won't feel confident coming out of early access until i'm sure the community is happy with the state of the game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to include modding tools for creating custom game modes and maps. We plan to expand the variety of modes, including vehicle-based gameplay, top-down challenges, and even sidescroller-style experiences. Customisation is planned to be expanded further as well.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core game-play experience, including multiple game modes, character customisation and basic setting packs modification is available. Essentially the current version is completely playable and can give you a good idea of how the game will work and function while demonstrating how game-play changes between game modes”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“You can expect the price to change through early access it could honestly be lowered or raised depending on how much content does get added to the game ultimately though i want people to feel like they got more than their monies worth”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Users can give suggestions, feedback and report issues either via Steam discussions, Discord or reviews although Discord is preferred.
We will also use Discord and Steam announcements to keep the community up to date on the development process and plans for upcoming updates.”

About This Game

Don't Say That is a physics-based multiplayer game where your voice is another way to mess with your friends.

You’re not just shouting for fun — your words actually do things. Traps trigger, props move, players get launched, and sometimes someone’s weapon goes off at the worst possible time. Every player has their own voice triggers, and the twist is that anyone can say them.

You can slip a trigger word into casual talk, trick someone into saying their own, or just use it to cause trouble. Maybe you make a friend drop their weapon right before they need it, or set off something that sends them flying across the map. All voice processing happens locally, so responses are instant and private — no online processing, no delay.

Matches start in a shared lobby where players choose from a mix of competitive, cooperative, and deception-based modes. Each one leans into physics-driven chaos in a different way — whether you’re working together, trying to survive, or quietly sabotaging your friends.

Hosts can customise how matches play using a flexible settings system that controls voice triggers, rules, and environmental reactions. You can save and load setups, making it easy to switch between slower, more tactical sessions and completely unhinged, voice-triggered free-for-alls.

Character customisation is supported too — personalise your avatar, load into a private match, and experiment with how your voice affects the world and the people in it.

Core Features

  • Voice-Driven Game-play – Your voice and sounds interact directly with the game world — moving objects, triggering traps, or setting off chain reactions.

  • Deception and Strategy – Sneak trigger words into conversation or trick others into activating their own effects.

  • Multiple Game Modes – Competitive, cooperative, and deception-based modes built around voice and physics.

  • Local Voice Processing – All recognition happens locally for privacy, accuracy, and instant feedback.

  • Proximity Voice Chat

  • Custom Game Settings – Adjust rules, triggers, and reactions to create your own play style or chaos level.

  • Character Customisation – Create and tweak your avatar to match your style.

  • Private Multiplayer – Host sessions with friends; public matchmaking and community servers are planned for later in Early Access.

  • Ongoing Development – Future updates will expand voice systems, add more modes and maps, and support community-created content.

Some placeholder music is AI Generated (will eventually be replaced with custom music but AI is easier for now due to not having copyright issues for content creators. If you make music contact us).
