About This Game

CO-OP BULLET HEAVEN WITH A LIVE GRIMOIRE MASTER

Grimoire of Monsters is a co-op action roguelike for 1-5 players. Most of you fight to survive. One of you is the reason it's hard.

Team up with friends and fight through huge waves of enemies. Pick up new spells, build powerful combos, revive each other, and take down giant bosses. Or play as the Grimoire Master and become the threat: send in monsters, twist the battlefield, take control of bosses, and ruin every plan the party has.

Survivors level up. So does the Master.

Every time the party gets stronger, the Grimoire Master picks a new monster or a nasty upgrade to answer it. Every run is a fight between the team's spell combos and the chaos the Master throws back.

PICK YOUR SIDE

Four hero seats and one Master seat. Take a hero and fight for the team, or take the Master seat and fight the team. Empty seats are filled by bots, so a run works with one player, five, or anything in between.

BECOME THE GRIMOIRE MASTER

You do not fight the monsters. You are the monsters.

  • Send in waves of enemies

  • Place hazards and twist parts of the battlefield

  • Block the party's view and split them apart

  • Take direct control of bosses during key moments

Wait until they feel safe. Then send everything.

Spiders, boars, slimes, and worse, dropped exactly where the party doesn't want them.

Monsters are not your only weapon.

Call down thunder across the whole battlefield and watch the party's formation fall apart.

When a boss shows up, that's you.

Take the wheel and go after whoever is carrying the team.

The Grimoire Master decides when things calm down, when they get scary, and when the party has a really bad day. Every run feels different depending on who is playing this role.

SURVIVE AS THE PARTY

Every run is a race to build something powerful before the monsters catch up.

  • Pick from a roster of heroes with different playstyles

  • Combine spells and upgrades into powerful builds

  • Revive your friends when they go down

  • Push through tough enemies and boss fights to win the run

WHICH SIDE ARE YOU ON?

The party builds. The Master answers. Whoever reads the other side better wins the run. Then you argue about it and go again.

PLAY TOGETHER ON ONE SCREEN, OR FAR APART

Grimoire of Monsters is built for playing together on one shared screen.

At home, phones can be used as extra controllers, so anyone can join without needing more gamepads.

Friends far away? Stream the session with Steam Remote Play Together. Only the host needs to own the game.
