About This Game

A DIE IS UNSTABLE. A BONE IS SURE.

A roguelike dice builder. Your score is a fractal tree of dice. 8 rounds, then endless. You are Dicebone: eight unstable dice and one forge.

YOU DON'T ROLL THE DICE. YOU PLANT THEM.

  • GROW: every branch of the tree sprouts one more ring of dice. 6 GROW a round

  • Drag a die from your hand onto any die of the tree. The seed included

  • It rolls. Its face is its chips and its number of children

  • The whole branch regrows from it

  • Aim before you drop: the branch lights up and tells you what is at stake

  • A hand of 5, a bag of 8, 3 DISCARD a round

CLOSE THE CIRCLE.

  • Score = chips x mult. Chips: every face on the tree

  • Mult: your dead dice in the pit, times your x dice on the tree

  • The circle around the tree is the gauge. Close it: the round is BEATEN

  • 8 rounds, targets from 300 to 37,754. Win, then go ENDLESS

  • Every GROW you did not need pays gold. So does crushing the target

THE FORGE KILLS CHANCE.

  • GRAVE: rewrite one face. The die calcifies, its body turns white

  • When every face agrees, it stops rolling. It is a BONE

  • x: the die doubles your mult while it sits on the tree

  • UPGRADE: d4, d6, d12, d20. The faces you engraved stay

  • THROW: into the pit, for good. Each dead die is +1 mult

  • BONE BOX: a random die from the tiers you unlocked

DICE ALL THE WAY DOWN.

  • 6 tiers: d4, d6, d12, d20, d60, d100

  • One colour per tier. It is the only colour on screen

  • You start with d4 and d6. Reach round 3: d12. Round 5: d20. Win a run: d60

  • Beat a target a hundred times over in one go: THE d100

  • The wall of dice keeps what you unlocked, run after run

SHORT. THE OSSUARY KEEPS YOU.

  • Out of GROW, out of dice, under the target: the run ends

  • Or ring the bell and walk away

  • One clinical line tells you how short, and how many dice you never forged

  • NEW RUN is one click away

BLACK. WHITE. BONE.

  • One screen: the tree, your dice, four numbers

  • The tree is drawn live, bone by bone

  • Every crack you hear is synthesized as the bones grow

  • Mouse to drop, Space to grow

  • Single-player. 14 languages

P.S. The free demo stops after round 4: targets from 300 to 3,269, the whole forge, d4 to d12. The full game goes on: rounds 5 to 8, ENDLESS, the d20, the d60 and the d100.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

The key art on this store page, on the splash screen and on the menu cards was created using generative AI tools and then edited by hand. Nothing inside the game itself is AI-generated. Every visual in play is procedural — drawn by code at runtime — and all audio is ynthesised in real time. The build ships with no textures, no meshes, no sprites and no audio files.
