About This Game

A devout man... Beneath the mountain, he discovered something that did not belong to this world. Something that spoke a language older than the scriptures themselves. He built his home directly above it. Not to worship it. To defeat it and imprison it.

By understanding its symbols, he learned to break them. By reading its texts, he devised countermeasures. By listening to the sounds from below, he tried to understand his enemy.

But he listened for too long.

Today, the house still stands. Whatever is inside does not like the light outside. Lines of salt lie across every doorway, not to keep something out, but to keep it in.

In this story, you are Elias. You came looking for adventure. You are here to investigate the present-day activities of an organization whose roots reach back to the Council of Florence in 1439. This is your fate.

HOW TO PLAY

Architecture that expands vertically. The house may look small from outside. Do not let that fool you.

Grab, lift and push. The objects around you are more than decoration. Pick them up, throw them or move obstacles out of your way. Solving the physics puzzles means seeing how you can use what is around you.

Swim through submerged passages. Make your way through flooded underground passages. Encounter puzzles where water itself is part of the solution.

Mark your path. Use chalk to find your way through the tunnels. A mark left behind gives you something familiar to look for on your return. Still, do not count on finding every mark just as you remember it.

Trust nothing. The house already knows you are here. You have gone down the rabbit hole now. God help you.

THE DESCENT

The house is a vertical journey through the work of a man who lost his battle with the darkness.

Ground Floor: There is no prayer here. Nature has reclaimed what was hers. The symbols are changing. Something seeps from the walls, and it is not paint.

Below: Sulfur. Stagnant water. Flies. Even the light is warped by the atmosphere. An utterly repulsive, suffocating place. Abominable acts of blasphemy were committed here.

The Outcome: Whatever he tried to lock away is still there.

FEATURES

  • Atmospheric horror from a first-person perspective. Slow, deliberate, suffocating.

  • If you dislike cheap jump scares, this game was made for you.

  • Physics-based interaction: grab, throw, push. This world has weight.

  • Environmental storytelling. No cutscenes, no narrator. Every object in the house has meaning.

  • An intense, handcrafted experience. Every object carefully placed, every silence deliberately designed.

FROM THE DEVELOPERS

We are a team of two. We were looking for a game like Dwelling on the Hill, but there was nothing like it on the market. So we made it ourselves.

Every room is built by hand. We have carefully designed the lighting and atmosphere throughout. The game is still in development, and some things will change. Our vision, however, will stay the same: a horror game that respects your intelligence and does not need screams to frighten you.

If this is the kind of horror you are looking for, add us to your wishlist. It really makes a difference.
