Why Early Access?

“Surviving The Island is a community-driven survival game that is still actively evolving. Early Access allows players to join the adventure early, provide feedback, report bugs, and help shape future features and content.

Our goal is to build the game together with the community. Player feedback will directly influence balancing, quality-of-life improvements, new systems, creatures, building pieces, and future expansions.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Surviving The Island to remain in Early Access for approximately 1 to 3 years.

The exact duration will depend on community feedback, development progress, and the addition of planned content. We prefer taking the time necessary to deliver a polished experience rather than rushing toward a full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to include significantly more content, progression systems, creatures, and areas to explore.

One of the game's main long-term features is a massive underground progression system. Players will gradually dig deeper beneath the island, discovering new underground layers, dangerous environments, unique resources, monsters, and increasingly challenging biomes.

As players descend through these levels, they will uncover hidden secrets and eventually reach an entirely new world deep beneath the island, inspired by classic "Journey to the Center of the Earth" adventures. This underground realm will introduce new creatures, exploration opportunities, resources, and gameplay experiences that are not available on the surface.

Additional planned features include:

• More creatures and wildlife
• New monsters and combat encounters
• Additional biomes above and below ground
• Expanded building and crafting systems
• Character customization
• New progression mechanics
• Additional multiplayer features
• Performance and quality-of-life improvements

The exact content may evolve throughout development as we continue working closely with the community and incorporating player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already includes the core foundations of the game, including:

• Single-player and multiplayer gameplay
• Character movement and exploration
• Resource gathering
• Crafting systems
• Building systems
• Hunting and survival mechanics
• Tribe/Clan functionality
• Basic progression systems
• A partially explorable island

While the game is fully playable, many features, areas, creatures, items, and progression systems are still under development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes.

We plan to offer Surviving The Island at a lower price during Early Access. As more content, features, and systems are added, the price may gradually increase toward the full release.

Players who join during Early Access will receive all future updates included with their purchase.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Players will be able to share feedback, report bugs, suggest features, and participate in discussions through Steam Community forums, our Discord server, social media channels, and dedicated feedback and bug-report pages on our website.

We are not only interested in bug reports and technical feedback. We also want to learn what players enjoy most, what they expect from the game, which activities they find the most fun, and what content they would like to see added in future updates.

Players will have opportunities to vote, participate in surveys, and provide suggestions for future creatures, monsters, biomes, gameplay systems, quality-of-life improvements, and exploration content. Community feedback will help shape both the surface world and the planned underground progression systems.

We plan to regularly review player feedback and use it to help prioritize improvements, balance changes, new features, and future content updates. Our goal is to build Surviving The Island together with the community and create a game that players genuinely enjoy exploring for years to come.”
