About This Game

Are you tired of video games constantly pestering you with pointless things like challenges, levels or gameplay? Have you ever dreamed about just pleasantly clicking through menu after menu?

Then seek no further. You have come to right place. In VIDEO GAME MENU: THE GAME, none of these distractions will ever bother you again. Shed all those burdens and simply enjoy the most exciting, fulfilling and magical of all video game experiences: navigating menus.

You’ll finally be able to fiddle with all those majestic configuration options, dive into the depths of the most exquisite forms, or scroll your way through marvelous text blocks. All without the hassle of then having to go through dozens (or hundreds) of hours of unnecessary ‘game’.

Those boxy things that you click on and things happen. You can’t go wrong with buttons. Everyone loves them. You’re probably just going through all this text just waiting to find a button to click.

You click and it is on. Click it again and it is off. The thing is on, then it’s off. Oh! If only life were as simple as the beautiful toggle.

Super fun thingies that go from one spot to the other and back. This just brings back the little kid in all of us. Weee!

It’s like a text field, but then you click on it and … you get to decide what goes inside! Pure magic. (Disclaimer: Magic may be limited to 256 characters or less.)

*To be honest, there aren’t that many more of these menu elements in the game. Most things in the menus are just variations of the ones we've already mentioned. Checkboxes? Those are mostly just toggles with a checkmark in them. Labels? They're the boring old grandpas of input fields. Yeah, they're there, but who cares? Dropdowns? Those are fun. We could have added them as a feature now that we're talking about them, but nah, too late now. Scroll bars? Those are kind of cool. But if you want to slide something, you have the sliders. We actually had some scroll bars in the game, but our producer said we might have to cut them due to budget constraints. There are probably a lot more menu things in mobile games, but we didn't bother to check. We're all here for the ultimate PC gaming menu experience. And don't get me started on VR an AR. Technically some of that could be included in the ultimate PC gaming menu experience? I mean you can hook up a VR device you your PC. But I don’t know. It’s probably all just weird Minority Report-looking menus in there. So nope, we are not going there. Oh! Sorry, we went way off track with this. Anyways enjoy the amazing wonders of the menu world!
