About This Game

Welcome to the Dungeon

Dungeon is a First Person Shooter designed for those of us who miss the exploration and adventure from the Boomer Shooters of yore, it's filled with hidden rooms, zombies, as well as exciting secrets, Easter eggs, powerful weapons, challenging enemies and power-ups galore. Channeling all the fun aspects of 90's shooters, while the main character spits out one liners.

The Wrong Man, in the Wrong Place...

You play as John Grimm, a jaded soldier who escaped detention just to end up in ANOTHER kind of prison. Explore room after room, walking through endless, treacherous corridors full of mindless zombies, traps and other nasties, to uncover hidden rooms and discover secrets and Easter eggs, while you find the weapons to defeat all 5 powerful element-themed golems who hold the keys to your escape. You can just kill the golems and leave, or stay and unlock the secrets of the Dungeon, it's YOUR choice.

Your Choice, Your Gameplay

Every decision you make has consequences, and can lead to a different ending. Taking one path may close another, different playthroughs offer different relics or power-ups ensuring that each playthrough is a different experience. Will you rush through the Dungeon, seeking to defeat the bosses as quickly as possible, or will you take the time to explore every nook and cranny, uncovering secrets and hidden paths no one else has? The choice is yours.

The Arsenal

While you start out with a puny revolver, later on you can find weapons that border heavy artillery. From the brutal .75 Ga double-barrel shotgun, to the 20mm minigun and the plasma rifle, 7 in total, most weapons in this game are a powerhouse to be reckoned with.
With only 4 slots for weapons, managing your inventory is a key mechanic in this game, you choose when and where to use your weapons, ammo, mana and power-ups.

Like a Boss.

To progress, you'll need to defeat 5 powerful, element-themed bosses, to collect the keys they possess that allow you to unlock the portal that will take you out of this prison, and possibly home. Each boss with its own strengths and weaknesses, some downright invulnerable to part of your arsenal, some can be killed in two shots with the right weapon.

Dungeon is a Labor of Love

Dungeon is a short, albeit heartfelt love letter to the 90’s kids and the 90’s devs I grew up with. Each room and each line of dialog were carefully crafted from scratch with pop culture in mind, maybe some references are a bit too obscure, but all in all I had fun working on Dungeon, and I genuinely hope you have as much fun playing it.
