What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Because we want to be able to work at this full time.

But, well, as we have full time jobs, we can't dedicate every hour of every day to this passion project, so early access seems like a better fit for a more flexible work schedule.

We hope you guys see the potential of this project, so that we can dedicate ourselves to it and make it as good as we possibly can, given the extra alloted time.

To be clear, our intent is to deliver a COMPLETE game when we go live on Early Access, that means FINISHABLE, hopefully without major bugs, at a fraction of the final retail price. ”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Keep in mind the early access RELEASE is still a ways off.
We have a TENTATIVE early access release date for 2026.

We are aiming for 2 years of ongoing polish MAX while still in Early Access.

Without the Early Access support, it will of course take longer, since like I said, we have jobs, but we're committed to see this passion project through no matter what.

Our main wish is to be able to focus 100% on this and deliver the best game we can make! ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to try and overhaul and polish every area's look and feel, that includes pacing, size, art, platforming feel, implementing every idea we have for every area, and hopefully bring in some challenging QoL improvements such as an interactable UI timeline that shows every timed event, with the size of the bar on the timeline indicating importance of each event.

We believe this will help players better keep track of what's important, but keep in mind, the game's designed to work just fine without it, you just may need a notepad handy.

There's also the idea for a secondary fast travel system.
That and hopefully by then we've ironed out most common and major bugs.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Goals for Early Access Release:

- 15 areas total.
- 3 to 5 lore pieces per area including main objective texts.
- Full gamepad support.
- Localization, at least 5 languages, in order of priority: Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian and maybe French. We may work to include Japanese and Chinese, but it's not in the goals for the EA release, maybe on 1.0

What we have now:

- We have 2 -mostly- finished areas, and 9 gray-boxed areas.
- One of the two mostly finished areas, is one of the biggest in the game.
A huge settlement split in 3 major districts, sewers, an underground refuge and a nearby cave.
- A couple puzzles
- One mostly working time loop mechanic
- English only text and UI

There will also be a layered gimmick for each major area, and a couple of big overarching puzzles that we have ideas for but they're either partially implemented not implemented at all.

We have implemented the whole of the character controller, including 4 (up to 6) time manipulation mechanics. So far, we have:

- Rewind (Rewind yourself, and rewindeable objects in vicinity)
- Recall (Rewind an object only)
- Stasis (Freeze an object)
- Reflex (Slow motion)
- Heal Wounds (WIP, Rewind the damage done to you, without moving back)

We have also implemented a couple of tools, like:

- An ethereal Ritual Sword,
- A very useful Bow that cuts ropes, lights fires, and triggers/disables some systems
- A limited fast travel system, with Keys you place upon altars and their corresponding talismans warp you back to the placed Keys.
- A notebook that keeps info you've gathered

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We want to lower the barrier of entry to support us, but there will be a period of time after release 1.0, when it comes out of early access, that's going to be full price.

Expect a ~60% increase in price once we get it out of Early Access.

Also expect big discounts on big Steam sales!”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“They can reach us over at our e-mail with bugs and suggestions.
You will also be able to give us feedback via comments on our socials.”
