What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The reason this is early access or I am releasing the beta. Is so that I can get the gamers (you) to get your hands on it. Sure it is not amazing or even high quality at all. But I want to show something and look at reviews where I am lacking the most. Because I can add and add but it won't matter. What matters is the publics opinion as that is what will make this game huge.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“My best approximation if everything goes right is 12 months from now or the biggening of August of 2026. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“What I plan to do different is going to be wordly. Keep in mind this is all done by 1 guy (me aka Robert Thiel). And I plan to have more characters, stages and online play. I plan to have even more characters with stages and story mode. But online multiplayer is what is important to me. Well actually the most important is what the public wants in my eyes.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of the Early Access version is 2 characters that can kill each other and end a game. Also with a simple UI Menu and working overall. And also accompanies music but it will always load at a certain percentage where it does not keep your settings as there is no backend. But you can expect 2 characters, 1 stage, music, and just a fighting a CPU or Local. ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The actual game when fully released will be free. Except I am planning to include in game purchases for example stages, characters, and other qualities.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I am planning to involve the community by giving the community this blue print this very low quality fighting game as it is. So I can see what people find most important. For example more characters, stages, better design, better CPU. I plan to look at the numbers look at every single review find what people find important and make that part of the game.”

About This Game

Ultimate Stick Battle (USB) is a 2D fighting game that looks simple — stick figures, clean stages — but don’t let that fool you. Underneath is a deep, competitive game built around precision, creativity, and straight-up skill.

Think Smash Bros. meets classic arcade fighters, but with a unique twist:

  • Directional combat with light & heavy attacks

  • Rollbacks for smooth local play

  • Freshly made stage

  • With Retro Music

  • And characters designed for mind games, not just button mashing

USB is made for the people who want to pick up a game for fun — and then realize hours have flown by because they have to get better. Whether you’re fighting a cracked AI or sweating locally, it’s all about getting in, learning the tech, and earning your wins.

This isn’t just another stick game. It’s the stick game that wants to stand toe-to-toe with the best in the genre.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

I have used AI to pre-render content. I have used AI to make some of the code that I use in the game. Such that AI has helped me make the best possible CPU and help with player physics.
