What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The game already offers a complete gameplay loop: cleaning carpets with rules for each order, managing water and electricity costs, upgrading your skills, and developing your workshop. However, I am developing the game alone, and feedback from real players is more valuable to me than working behind closed doors by myself. Early Access allows me to release the game as it grows, understand what works and what feels frustrating, and build out the content together with the people who are actually playing it. Simply put, I want to make this game together with the community, not reveal it only at the very end.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I currently plan for the game to stay in Early Access for about 8 to 12 months. This is an estimate: if reaching the right level of quality takes more time, I would rather stay in Early Access longer than release an unfinished full version. The exact timeline will depend on the amount of feedback and on how development progresses.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full version, I plan to expand the game in several directions: more types of carpets and orders, more cleaning tools and consumables, deeper upgrades and workshop development, as well as a more developed story/narrative layer with its secrets. I also plan to improve the economy balance, optimization, and overall quality of the game based on player feedback. The scope of the full version will depend on the course of development, so I am not locking in a specific final list of features at this stage.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core gameplay loop is already available: cleaning carpets with different tools and adjustable water temperature, individual rules and consequences for breaking them, daily water and electricity bills, an order system, earning money, upgrades, and progression. The game also includes the beginning of a hidden story layer. The amount of content is currently limited and will be expanded over time. Balance changes and rough edges are possible, and players can report any issues they find. I am collecting this feedback.
The game currently includes:
55 objects to clean, including carpets, ottomans, and pillows.
Progression with rewards from level 1 to level 12.
4 cleaning tools and 3 types of foam.
20 collectible stickers, with 6 variants for each sticker.
4 music cassettes.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, I plan to slightly increase the price when the game leaves Early Access, since the release version will include more content. Buying the game in Early Access is a way to get it at a lower starting price and help influence its development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan to collect feedback and suggestions through Steam Discussions and the game’s community, read bug reports and player requests, and take them into account when planning updates. It is important for me to understand which mechanics work well for players and which ones do not, and to use that when developing the game further. Whenever possible, I also plan to share updates on the development process and explain what influenced certain decisions.”

About This Game

You work at a small carpet-cleaning company. People bring you their filthy, stained, dust-caked rugs — well, technically, they just appear at your place, but for some reason that doesn’t bother you — and you make them look new again. That’s the job. It’s slow, it’s quiet, it’s satisfying, and most days that’s enough.

Every carpet comes with its own rules. Some can handle a pressure washer. Some you’ll ruin if you bring one anywhere near them. Some need hot water, some cold, and some can’t stay wet for long. Read the label, pick the right tool, do it properly — or hand back a ruined rug and pay for it yourself.

And the meter is always running. Water and power aren’t free, and the bills come due at the end of the day whether the work paid off or not. So you clean well, clean smart, take the money, take on bigger jobs, and slowly build the workshop into something of your own.

Then there’s the back door that won’t open. The tape someone left in the player. The name on your pay documents — Nethound — and the small, nagging fact that you don’t really remember how you ended up working here. You can leave all of that alone and just clean carpets. Most people do.

In the game:

  • Hands-on cleaning with a pressure washer, hose, brush, foam and wet-vac.

  • Mix your own water temperature, because some jobs won’t accept anything else.

  • Real care rules for every carpet, and real consequences for getting them wrong.

  • Daily water and electricity bills to keep an eye on.

  • Jobs, money, upgrades, and a workshop to grow.

  • And a second, quieter game hidden underneath — for anyone who goes looking.

The carpets won’t clean themselves. Not yet, anyway.
