What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“JellyFish is currently undergoing development, but we would like to invite players to get an early look so we can receive feedback and hear what players would like to see. Therefore, an early version of the game is currently free to play.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“JellyFish is expected to remain in Early Access until late 2026, but the full version may arrive sooner or later.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the full version, we hope to include public servers, character selection and customization, new mechanics involving falling down stairs, and the possibility of new maps and player abilities. The layout of current maps may also be subject to change.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version of JellyFish contains fully-playable 5-minute matches, 2 maps with 3 control points and a tutorial level (all subject to change), private servers with a capacity of 8 players (joinable with a shareable code), environmental hazards and transportation, and the ability to punch other players (more abilities may be added in the future).”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price of JellyFish is expected to increase upon full release, but will remain free during Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Feedback from the Community is appreciated, and can currently be communicated by email (other forums may open as development continues). We would like to hear about players' experiences with the game and any suggestions they might have.”

About This Game

In JellyFish, a group of living Jelly and a group of intelligent Fish fight for control of a nuclear reactor by using temperature-changing machines. In this game of hot vs cold, control your character's mech-body with a powerful punch and use the environment to your advantage. Fill your team up to 4 friends and play with up to 8 friends and enemies in total.

Koizo Fish: Defenders
As a Fish, keep the reactor cold and defend your home. Koizos were the original inhabitants of The Cnidaria Complex - a sprawling underground facility that has everything a city has. Koizo scientists were experimenting with Jelly on the day of The Incident.

Gelava Jelly: Attackers
As a Jelly, blow up the reactor by raising the heat. Gelavas are Jelly that came to life in Cnidaria Labs after a radiation leak from the reactor. Their goal is to expand and spread that radiation worldwide by causing a meltdown.
