About This Game

You died. That was the easy part.

You wake up in Damascus, the first continent of the afterlife, with empty pockets and a long road ahead. Journey to Jericho is an old-school, click-to-move MMORPG where every level is earned, every item has a price, and what you become is entirely up to you.

22 skills, no classes

There are no classes to pick and no builds to lock in. Train what you like, as far as you like.

• Fight with Melee, Ranging or Psychic, backed by Accuracy, Defense, Health and Stamina, augmented by Faith prayers and Destruction curses.

• Gather by mining ore from copper to damascus steel, felling everything from oak to baobab, fishing in rivers and oceans, hunting in the wilderness, and foraging for mushrooms.

• Make your own gear and supplies through Metalwork, Crafting, Cooking, Chemistry, Mechanics and Jewellery.

• Grow crops, trees and livestock on your own patches with Farming.

• Steal from market stalls and pick the pockets of anyone careless enough to stand still.

Destruction or Faith

Two powers shape how you fight. Sacrifice your loot at an altar to fuel Destruction: rage, lifesteal and shields of blood. Or pray at a shrine and draw on Faith: protection from harm, healing for you and your allies, and a second chance when a killing blow lands. Train one, or both.

Psychic power

Blink across the battlefield, turn items into coin, vanish from sight, or throw an enemy's next hit straight back at them. Set the ground alight, bog down your enemies in mud, and raise walls to control the fight.

Bosses that punish mistakes

Bosses run attack rotations that change as their health drops. Read the telegraphs, get off the marked tiles, and deal with poison, fire and ice when you don't. Fight solo, or bring some friends.

Death has a price

Fall in battle and the scavenger guilds will gather your belongings into a death chest. Pay their fee to get everything back. Die again before you do, and it's gone for good.

High risk, high reward PvP

Most of the world is safe. Some of it isn't. Step into a PvP zone and anyone outside your party can attack you. Die there and there is no chest: your killer takes everything you were carrying.

A player-driven economy

Trade face to face, haggle with shopkeepers, or list your goods on the Grand Exchange, an auction house shared across every world. Whatever you gather, craft or loot, someone out there wants it.

Always something to do

• Take on quests with branching dialogue.

• Pick up contracts from Guildwork boards and build your reputation.

• Travel from port to port and teleport between continents.

• Explore towns and cities, wilderness, islands and whatever lies beyond Damascus.

Built from the ground up

Journey to Jericho runs on its own custom engine, written from scratch for this game. Your character lives across every world, so you can hop servers to play with friends at any time.
