As a Yautja specializing in stealth, the Oni Predator dedicates all his resources to improving the technology, allowing him to engage his prey from the shadows. He is a warrior who prioritized speed and ranged combat, making him an extremely formidable foe.

Along with modifications to his cloaking system, he developed the Chain Whip, a unique weapon allowing him to disrupt groups of prey and isolate stronger individuals from a pack.

While not the most intimidating in terms of size, his lean form is enabled for a more aggressive close-quarters combat style than other Yautja members. By combining his stealth with raw aggression, the Oni has become one of the most intimidating Predators in history.

Predator: Hunting Grounds is a first/third-person hunter-shooter where players take the role of a human mercenary or the Predator. The frenzied combat features instances of intense violence highlighted by frequent gunfire, explosions, screams of pain, blood and gore, and instances of dismemberment and mutilation. Some maps show skinned corpses with partial nudity. One mission chain sees the mercenaries locate and destroy packages of drugs in a cartel compound. Dialogue includes examples of Strong Language.
