Why Early Access?

“Ascend and Fall is competitive at its core, and a competitive game is only as good as its balance. With 90+ spells, four heroes, and more content to come, the meta and gameplay can only be balanced with real players testing it. Early Access lets us balance spells, refine the heroes, and shape ranked alongside the people who grind it.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect to stay in Early Access for roughly 12 months. This period will allow us to refine core systems, test new content, adjust gameplay balance based on community feedback, ensure server stability, and grow the player community before moving toward a full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the game’s scope and depth based on what players enjoy most. This may include additional heroes, spells, and other content, as well as refinements to progression systems and quality-of-life features. Early Access will help us prioritize these improvements according to community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The full loop is playable - Pick a hero, draft and sequence your spells, fight through PvE, duel real players, and climb the ranks. All core systems are in, but we’re still polishing the experience as well as actively balancing spells, adding content, and more. You may find some rough edges while we refine it with your feedback, but that's exactly what Early Access is for.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will be free-to-play during Early Access and will remain free-to-play after the full release. Our focus is on delivering a fair, balanced experience for all players rather than changing the price model.”

About This Game

Ascend and Fall is a dark-fantasy autobattler where the order of your spells determines the outcome. Choose your hero, battle monsters for loot, discover new spells, then duel real players and watch your sequence play out. Sequence your magic right, and rise while they fall.

Your spell order matters. Aim for synergistic combos, stack debuffs, heal up to stay alive, or go for big damage bursts. Lock in your spell rotation and watch the fight auto-resolve, spell by spell. Choosing the right spells to cast at the right time makes the difference between life and death.

Choose one of four heroes, each with a set of signature spells to choose from. Select your loadout and discover 35+ spells across your encounters with multiple tiers to unlock for each. Every hero plays differently, with one to match every playstyle.​

Your health and mana don't reset between fights; they carry through the whole climb. Every monster you hunt for loot is a wager, and every fight you take is a risk. Do you use your resources early for greater rewards, or save them for the rival waiting in the arena?
