What to expect

TaVRn's Takedown puts you inside a full-scale tavern brawl, in VR!

The taverns of Mliuej have a problem. The drinks are enchanted, the regulars are feral, and someone just threw a chair at a goblin. Again. (It was you).

Physically duck under punches. Actually wind up for a haymaker. Grab a stool, a mug, or whatever's closest, and use it. The physics are real. The enemies feel it. So will your arms.

You're not a hero. You're not chosen. You're a perfectly average adventurer who somehow became responsible for restoring order to every cursed bar in the region, one punch at a time.

Fight humans, orcs, goblins, and creatures with no business being in a tavern. Drink magical brews to unlock powers that make absolutely no sense and work completely perfectly. Face bosses that demand strategy, improvisation, and the willingness to throw a barstool when all else fails.

Mliuej needed a champion. It got you.

Close enough.

About This Game

In TaVRn's Takedown, you physically throw punches, block hits with your forearms, grab enemies, hurl furniture, and duck under incoming mugs in full room-scale VR. The physics engine means no two fights play out the same way.

A stool is a weapon. A table is a shield. That goblin in the corner is about to have a very bad evening.

After every run, drink magical brews to unlock new abilities: stone fists, telekinesis,.. Watch them clash.

Figure out halfway through a fight that your last three power choices were a terrible idea.

Adapt. Improvise. Win anyway.

The runs are short. The learning curve is a wall you punch through.

Expect absurd humor, spicy dialogue, some hidden references, and cult voice talent from Baldur's Gate 3 and Kingdome Come (Tim Downie, Tracy Wiles, Andrew Wincott, Luke Dale, Corin Nemec, Terrence Stone and more).

Created in 2001 by John Lang, Le Donjon de Naheulbeuk is a cult French comedy franchise that's been skewering fantasy RPG tropes for over 20 years, expanding into comics, novels, video games, and a Celtic-metal band.

TaVRn's Takedown is the first VR game set in this universe.

You don't need to know the lore to enjoy the brawl. The humor is universal. The chaos speaks for itself.
